Reliability of Beppy Tampons????????
« on: 14 October 2008, 01:02:56 pm »
Hello All

I have got the beppy tampons which to date I have only had the need to use once (God Bless the Menopause!) and it was a very light period so I was not concerned at all about leakage, although I did feel somewhat self conscious with the client going down on me for quite a while.

So here is my question........... do any of you use them constantly and also have you used them whilst on a heavy period?  Ever experienced any leakage problems?  Has a client ever noticed anything different.............?

I have some dry and some wet ones and I gather the wet ones offer great lubrication............

I have a booking for tomorow morning with a guy who I know relishes giving oral and a period has come out of the blue yesterday (after six months) and have no way of telling if it is going to get lighter or heavier.

If it is heavy my concern is how realiable are these tampons?

Much advice greatly appreciated as always!
Love

I am curious to know too - I always take time off when I am on because I don't feel comfortable enough to use a Beppy when I am in full flow.    I think they are brilliant though when I am towards the end of my period.

I just prefer not to work at all with a period, I don't take my pill continuously for three months like they say you can I don't want to mess around with my system much, I just have a pill free week monthly I just prefer it that way and I feel to crotchety during a period anyway.

I would just cancel him I think clients would be ok about it - we are not robots and even though I'm on the pill if I get nervous or whatever about something I will inexplicably have a period sometimes???

Have actually told the client, as he is a regular, and thought only fair to tell him.....

Seems he is still keen to visit........... LOL

Interesting to see if anyone has used them while on a heavy flow.

I use beppy tampons all the time, i thing i was the one that posted on here about them after seeing them in a magazine called scarlet.
I have used them on an overnight when i came on a few hours after meeting the client.
If I am on a heavy period they easily lasted a 2hour booking, not sure i would want to risk anylonger so would probably change it.

Ive seen these beppy tampons on the internet but can you buy them in boots or similar?  I know that i will never be able to work on the 2nd day of my period just because of the nature of my flow (and i dont think the constant moaning and vomiting and fever would be too attractive to many men!!!) but i also know that i am totally irregular and could have a 'show' at any time during the 3 or 4 months i dont come on.  Unfortunately these shows are always brought on by sex (or horse riding strangely enough but i dont do that to often so dont need ot worry on that front) so i want to pick some up to keep with me at all times.

Im also terrified about getting them stuck.  i read a desperate plea from a lady recently on another forum saying it was stuck and how the bloody hell could she get to it without getting another person to fish it out for her (god im sorry for using that phrase!!! I dont think they were her exact words lol).  She finally managed it by inserting the shower hose and flooding it out.  Felt that was an important bit of info we should all share jsut incase.  Sorry if too graphic!  :-\

I just don't want to if I have a period even if it happens 30 mins into the booking to me it's blood/fresh wound kind of risk to client surely.. I would cancel and refund. If he said it didn't matter I'd be worried about him.

Lexie, have you checked out your vagina much? I can reach every bit of mine unless I'm aroused. Not everyone can, but if it's the same for you you won't need to worry about stuff getting lost. Check at different points during your cycle since it varies, and if you ever find you can't get it out soon after sex just wait for your cervix to come back down.

I and every doctor available has checked out my vagina anika mae lol.

i dont think anything will get lost inside me but the post i read on the other site said she had waited 24hrs and was paniking bless her.  Ive not used a beppy but apparently (so the other ladies were saying) they can sometimes slightly turn to make it harder to get hold of??  and i think everyone knows by now that i tend to laugh at the most inapropriate things and inthe most inaproopriate situations so i have visions of myself, legs akimbo, squatting while poking around trying to hook the bloody thing out and laughing histerically at myself will only cause me to fall over and knock myself out on the edge of the toilet!!!  if it ever happens i promise to inform you all so you can laugh at me lol

I do like using the Beppy Tampons. I would recommend the wet ones, as they are easier to slip in and out. But I only do use them when I have a light flow. With the contraception I'm now (I take the pill every day) I either get a light flow or nothing at all, so it's good to have them handy. I'm not sure how they'd be during a heavy flow though. I personally would just take that time off, but if the customer is okay with that, then what the hey, go ahead.

I haven't had any problems taking them out, but yes, they do "turn" so I've not been able grasp the loop. But then again, because I use the wet ones, they're much easier to grasp and pull out. So if you do get them, I'd recommend the wet ones.

If you ever think that it has somehow got stuck - have a shower and point the shower 'up there' and it will make the tampon really heavy and make it easier to remove.
