Hello! I just read the topic and found it a little bit offended. I am Eastern European myself and I don't put my prices down. Why You girls think that this is our fault?

Michelle.

Hi Michelle and welcome to SAAFE.

We certainly don't think any such thing here, and if there are posts which have offended you please report them - I'm afraid things do sometimes slip through the net, but we do not tolerate xenophobia or bigotry here and we have ladies posting who are from many different countries :).

Can I also remind everybody else that 'Eastern Europe' is not one huge, bland, homogenous lump, it consists of 15+ different countries - I'll freely admit I don't know the exact number myself but it is certainly not all the same any more than the rest of Europe is. The people who have come here to work and the rates they charge punters are as diverse as those of any other group and silly stereotyping is not how we do things here.

Michelle.

I don't think anyone said it was the fault of Eastern European ladies putting their prices down.

Unless someone can point it out to me...?

If Michelle (or anybody else) is offended or upset by any posts either in this thread or generally, they can report them as requested above or PM any member of the moderation team. Let's stick to the thread topic now, please.

Ok, so the general consensus to LOTM orginal question is a big fat resounding NO then?

Is anyone (like me!) out there considering actually increasing rates?! lol or would that be suicide?

Well if we take the thread title literally, the answer would always be 'no' - it's rarely 'necessary' to do anything. And who the OP means by 'we' is anybody's guess since the members here are of all ages, nationalities, shapes and sizes, provide varyingly limited services and are spread over countless locations.

I haven't raised my prices for over four years and I'll likely be putting my one hour incall fee up before long, although not by much. Most of my bookings are 90 minutes plus anyway so it won't make an enormous difference to the day to day, but I have all the work I want and my overheads are far higher nowadays.

@ Danae

I'm currently operating on "special rates" before I go away to Berlin, simply out of thinking fuck I need to make cash right now!!

So that in a combination with rejigging how searchable I am has worked, got a couple of bookings and can afford the holiday now.

Though I think I'm going to take it back up, not to what they were but a little higher when I come back. and see how it works out. currently dithering over the exact rates but gosh I think that if ur getting the work then why not put prices up a bit. I know a few people thinking about doing it. and also I've heard from some people that when they changed their rates many :-* regulars stayed but that on the whole the kind of clients they got changed a bit depending on how much they went up by.

You won't know unless u try i guess!.

x :-*

Thank you Ace and yeah it?s one of those things you can only find out by actually doing.
Glad to hear the dry spell you were experiencing has passed and long may it continue.
Enjoy your holiday x  :)

Exaaaactly Jodie. The minute we put a sexy picture of ourselves naked/in langerie on the internet and a price tag underneath we are indeed objetifying ourselves. End off.  It doesn't matter if you're a 2000 pound an hour escort with high end  photos or a 20 pound an hour  single mum from AW with grainy self portrait taken at home. We are both obectifying ourselves ( the only thing that difference us is our price tags).

Men browse thru these "human catalogues", compare us, and choose which object they desire most depending on their tastes and budgets. They definately don't choose us for our "human value", our talents, our empathy, they way we treat their kid,our positive outlook to life or  inner beauty. So in result we are perceived as "objects". This is already a bad start if you want to get treated like a human being because it was you -in the first place- who portrayed herself as an object by posing in that "La perla" outfit that screamed "fuck me!".

Some men are sophisticated enough to understand the fact that there is a human being/person behind that object and will treat you accordingly, but a lot of men are not sophisticated enough, have lack of empathy, psicological problems or ARE NOT THAT SMART. And this is why our job is a magnet that attracts all sorts of nuckleheads and we have to deal with SO MUCH BULLSHIT ON THE PHONE every day. Believe me: I've done other jobs that had nothing to do with sex work were my photo and phone number needed to be on the web and I didn't get a tenth of the bullshit I get now on the phone. Why? Because now I have a picture of me posing in a with bikini, a price tag underneath and a phone number (all hell broke loose!).

So my point is: Is the fact that we objectify ourselves a reason for violence against us? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!. But let's not be sooo naive or kid ourselves  thinking that by posting a picture of yourself spreading your legs in AW you are going to attract decent guys who'll treat you as a human being or  appreciate your "inner beauty" (if by "iinner" you mean: guts) .

(Rant over. My apologies if I went off topic)

I agree with this, it is the reason why we deal with so many wankers and idiots on the phones (add anything to with with sex to anything to do with money and you'll get a huge volume of idiots / creeps)  - it is our screening out those wankers and security procedures in place in case one of said wankers slips through the net, which play a huge part in avoiding violence, not the price tag. If however a violent person attacks you, and you didn't follow any security procedures, it is still COMPLETELY the fault of the perpetrator.

But of course! Do you get violent with the cashier in tesco because she won't do as you say? Do you walk into a store and steal a dress because "hey! it looked really good on the manequin"? Do you walk into a French patisserie and demand a full blown meal? do you call a plumber and then try to get away with not paying him? Same principle apllies to WG's.

Exactly. And if you did happen to be the sort of pillock who would do those things, whether or not the shopping/dress/dinner/boiler service cost ?40 or ?80 is unlikely to be much of a consideration, since you've no intention of paying anyway.

I've just started independant again after a year working in parlours. I was working at the standard parlour rate 50 for half 100 for the hour, but I just put them up each by a tenner, as I feel I deserve it through the risk of having clients come to my home. Infact, on putting them up I was busier than I have ever been and made ?300 in 3 hours flat by doing two one hour clients and a half hour client.

I am still one of the cheaper young girls in my area, a lot of escorts are around ?120-?140. I've been working 2 years now and have never had any problems, apart from in parlours where I had my wages stolen (thankfully only ?70- another thing about the huge payouts you have in parlours, making in total ?30 per half hour client, not being allowed to charge extra for OWO etc) by a pakistani man about 28 years old. Also had a few (again foreign) clients who refused to shower, were quite rude, drunk etc.

Glad to be working independant again where I insist on AW bookings every time to assure my safety. Also to get to grasps with what the client is like, what sort of things they want etc.

Good question and as its so quiet at the mo I'm considering offering half hour appts for one day to see how it goes (I don't normally do them) although i have noticed in the past that when I put my rates up on AW I actually got busier so who knows  ???

I thought I'd try to to a special offer today as I find the beginning of the week is usually very quiet, so I knocked ?20 off my rates for the day, and I've had nothing but a few extra TWs calling me, seen one guy who booked a few days ago. I usually get mainly same day appointments, so was hoping I would get to see some nice guys who otherwise would have seen another girl, but I guess not.  ???

Someone else said on here or another thread that they got busier as they put their rates up?  ???

Seems like you damned if you and damned if you don?t... :-\

(Not sure if this is the right place to post this (or if it?s any help) but I?ve found as AW calls are getting less and less for me, UKAdultzone has become a saviour. A lot of my bookings now come from there. I can normally meet my targets with these two sites alone. For those of you who don?t have a profile on there it might be worth considering (it?s free)...) xx
