Real world work and escort work.
« on: 21 September 2008, 04:01:36 am »
Just an enquiry about combining a 'Real world job' and escort work - I wasn't keen on the idea before because of the possibility of discovery and I'd wanted to use the extra time for something else at the time but things have changed, obviously you'd pay tax on both etc. or is it kind of better not to mix both?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Hi There
It depends what your day job is. If NHS /local Council/Governmet/PCT at any level, its really a no go. For the simple reason,if the press get hold of it they will have a field day .I know this sounds a bit dramatic, but if you are in any sort of job with big established organisations,at any level really they love this sort of thing, especially if they are going for refunding of a project ,etc.

I had a friend when I worked at NHS who had been involved with some major "dodgyness" (not escorting) in his past. This may not be a problem for us, but somebody got hold of the story and ran straight to the press. It was a nightmare for him as they ran story after story and dragged up everything .I was associated with him and my past was also dragged up. Luckily ( or not) mine was never documented and didn't come to anything all though i had to tell the press officer  at work as press phoned her and she stopped it going out on radio!! Sad , I know as every has has a past   ,but anything with a tinge of scandal is dragged up.

Think run of the mill shop jobs, some office, some sales could work.Just keep your business to your self, dont trust anyone ,never admit to anything and never rite anything down!!

I'm sure lots of ladies escort part-time whilst having a 'civvy' job - I started off just doing the odd evening and weekend from an ad in my local paper (not that there's much chance of that now!) I would avoid anything where you will come in contact with the public such as shop or bar work - you might be lucky, especially if you live somewhere large and anonymous, but I wouldn't want to take the chance of being identified - my former work clothes being particularly unglamorous made it virtually impossible for anyone to recognise me but I still didn't keep it up long once I got established.

Also be aware that if your employer finds out they can (provided you have not been with them for more than two years) and in all probability will, sack you - I remember reading a thread on another board about a lady who was called into her managers office one morning, whereupon he presented her with printouts from her website and gave her her notice on the spot, and she didn't even have face pictures.

Like LD says - trust no-one and if the worst happens just brazen it out and deny everything (and don't forget to be very offended!)
