I’ve taken off 30 mins appointments from my rates. Has anyone else done it? Is work the same?
I get a lot of 30 mins bookings but I don’t prioritise them and I prefer hour or longer. I even find 30 mins don’t really become regulars for me compared to the hour + bookings. I think the downside for me is when clients in 30 mins bookings want to try and cum as much as they can but then again some can be quick and just leave. Or when they book an hour and just want to stay 30 mins. I just want to know anyone else’s experience with only offering hour bookings or more.

When I did half hour bookings they blocked longer bookings (had plenty wanting 1 hour or more), many would be late, require lots of texting to arrange, then would over run or use delay tactics eg say they wanted a drink or took up an offer of drink, talked/drank slowly then  20 minutes in expected the time to start.

It wasn't fair so I kept two regulars one who never over ran, never asked for anything complicated, the other paid a higher rate I set. I offered 45  minutes which was only taken up by 2 others and was busy enough with one hour and longer.

I found that putting the half an hour price up high made me feel a lot better about doing them on tour. The price of touring is so dam high I upped my half hour to £150 and hour to 200 and now because the hour is only £50 more most of them by default have the hour.
I found when I had cheaper half an hour of £100 every client booked that instead of the hour. Also when it’s higher you get two together you get 300 for an hours work which is even better
