They claim to advertise on sites such as Punternet - well I think I'll stick to paying my ?12 a month to Punternet myself thanks....

www.escortagenciesuk.com and www.adultservices.co.uk were both launched in 1998 and attract a substantial amount of visitors daily. We have rcently expanded on our our website and are now going Nationwide with our directory.

We invest heavily in marketing our websites and regularly buy space in the Sunday Sport, Daily Sport, Regional Newspapers, The Adult Guide To London, London Contacts, London Doms as well as top shelf magazines.

i posted on Plink, as a nervous newbie, asking about web advice...when i checked later, my post had been deleted with no explanation. i felt foolish and rejected ( for a second or two ;-) ) but was glad to have received a PM from someone who had answered before it was deleted.

yup, you guessed it, it was one of these, offering me web design at an extortionate special fee

sigh, just when i though i had a punter ::)

A quick reminder that no-one should believe Alexa's traffic ranking figures - 'popularity of non-secure sites visited by people silly enough to have installed our spyware' would be a more accurate descripton.

Any ranking site that reckons that - to pick just one example - gaydar (for men looking to have sex with each other) isn't in the top 100 sites visited by people in the UK is deluding itself and its customers.

Alexa is no use for: secure sites (anything with https at the start of the URL)... RSS feeds... sites visited by people using browsers other than Internet Explorer... or who can't install their plugin (i.e. most people at work or using a public access system)... or who have spyware blockers.

So what you're left with is largely people who've no idea they can change the home page on their browser (hence the popularity of MSN in the Alexa rankings) and probably have loads of spyware on their PCs.

Now, that's an interesting group of people to look at, but...
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."
