Hi everyone, I have been reading through the forum and it has really helped me but theres a couple of questions I cant find the answers to and I was wondering if anyone could help.

Ive worked on AW for about a year and am now looking to be respresented by an escort agency, I have been talking to a couple about commission and they both have a rate of 30% but one meets the girls to take cash from them and the other takes payment into their bank account through the bank or by transfer. Which of these is the 'normal' way? does the agency just give the sort code and account number or do they have business accounts showing the agency name?

I know that many of you are independent escorts, but I was wondering if anyone has joined an agency that turned out to be very quiet and they didnt receive many bookings? Im finding hard to tell whether the agencies Im looking to join are as busy as they say they are.

Both ways of paying the commission are fine, but one shows they trust you a bit more than the other... and are more likely to be declaring their income for tax purposes as well. If you're still interested in them, it's worth asking when and where the other one would want to meet you to hand over the cash - some people have been expected to travel long distances in the wee hours, for example.

One of the reasons agencies are not always popular here is that they can have an incentive to take on people despite not really having work for them. If you get one booking that they otherwise wouldn't have got, it's a result for them, but you may not be happy. So there's no way to be sure, but you can look up how many reviews (and what sort of reviews) their existing staff get, for example.

And don't give up working independently as well unless you've a very good reason to stop.

There are various ways that agencies take commission, and as long as you're comfortable with how they do it it's fine. Both of those methods sound potentially ok but you'll need more information about the one that wants to meet you. If they want to go to your house to collect it, are you ok with them knowing where you live? If you have to go somewhere, is it going to be a nuisance? I'd probably be willing to have a driver take me somewhere at the end of a shift to drop off money before going home (assuming it wasn't way out of the way and I wasn't expected to pay extra for the trip) or go to an office once a week, again if it's not way out of the way. If they wanted me to go to them the day after every shift I wouldn't be keen.

I joined a very nice new agency with a low commission and didn't get much work, but I was already working independently so it didn't matter. I was never told it was busy, but I'd generally assume that agencies are going to exaggerate. You won't know how much until you join, but I'd definitely want to keep the independent stuff going at least to start with.

I've only worked for the one agency (still reletively new to the industry myself), were I dropped the money off at their offices. When I first started I was told that they are very busy and could earn a great deal. However (in my case), this didn't happen. I was with them for about 3 months, and during that time I averaged 1-2 clients a week. I asked the drivers and the girls about how busy they've been and tips on how to get more clients (the drivers were more honest than the girls), but the conclusion I came to, was that apart from a select few most of the girls found it hard to get work too. One girl mentioned that she hadn't had a booking for nearly a month. I'm just going on my experience though. Some agencies may be busier than others and you may find who ever you end up with will stand you in good sted. I will also mention that the agency I worked for took a commission of 50%, which is a lot more than average too.

I work with an agencywho take a 40% commission, which I deposit as cash into the owner's bank account.

They call me every week to 10 days with a booking, but the bookings are always immediately and half the time I can't make it!
