Punterlink/TS advertising sites: help please
« on: 23 May 2012, 06:49:26 pm »
Hey everyone,

I've only been on AW since I started escorting, but need to broaden advertising horizons. I've spent a lot of time looking around Punterlink, but can't find anywhere that TS's are advertised. I've not actually found any TS's on there either. Is it a strictly female only site, or am I looking in the wrong places?

Thanks!

Unless things have changed since I last looked, I think it's one of the transphobic sites.

In one way, it's quite amusing that the two of the most vocal transphobic groups are the so-called 'radical feminists' who also loathe sex work and some of the 'punting' sites who obviously don't...

Hey TSgirl,

I tried to sign up to punterlink, hoping that my pretty much female appearing body might be acceptable to them but I got an email from them saying no TS and that I should try their sister site fetishlink which , Hasn't got me any business to be honest.

I don't know where the other girls advertize tho I'm hoping to maybe try and use some TS specialist listings, I mean it's worth a shot I guess! (even tho I've never seen another "Tboy"/ftm/female assigned at birth" person on there!).

When I think of TS/TV (eurgh I hate that category name) alternatives to AW I think of Birchplace first.

I do know that I don't like relying on AW  and sleepyboy alone for jobs.

I hope this thread get's more feedback :)

Hey T

Yeah it seems Plink is not much of an option, and their 'fetish' subsidiary probably never gets viewed, much like AW's gayswap or swingfree. I had a look at Birchplace a while ago, but the severe lagging and continuous timeouts of their server just put me off. I see they've migrated recently, taking everyone's money (ie you need to relist) and it's even worse speed wise. Also, while I was with the agency, there was a definite difference in quality of client from Birchplace compared to AW... My ewwwww scale has reached new heights...

I've been on AW only now and that is where I get all my work from, includes camming which often leads to physical bookings (when I can be arsed to get dolled up and get on cam). I'm spending lots of time at the moment surfing the net looking for trans friendly directories that would be worthwhile advertising on. I'll PM you or start a thread with them in.

PS, tv/ts/tg... all just labels that only have meaning or bearing if you let them. Same as prossie, whore, escort whatever. Don't let it get to you lol, but we can save that for PM :)

Eros is one option for Londoners in particular, but it's not particularly cheap (it takes a search to find out that it's currently ?55/month) and, being based in the US, wants a copy of something like your passport.

There's My Local Escorts which is free and their Google ranking isn't bad - I get a few calls/hits from there. Also Birchplace, although I don't know how busy it is :).

Thanks Amy and Ian.

Eros is more central London I found when I did advertise there, and I'm just over an hour out of London now and Birchplace sucks! I'd rather not have the people from there for bookings.

Ill definitely check out MLE though! I also found Vixen-Escorts.com which seems pretty good.

You could try Escort England too - all the Escort Advertising sites (Scotland, Wales and Ireland too) have plenty of TS advertisers. It's not free normally, but they had an offer on for SAAFE members if you contact the bloke via the email here and mention it.

I'm a TV escort and most of the work I get comes from either Birchplace or AW, I realise Birchplace has a bit of a seedy edge to it and maybe attracts the fetishist types more than the straightforward punters (sometimes) but it is dedicated to TV and TS escorts and attracts guys who specifically seek this - whereas those on AW often tend to be the first timer types who come across your profile and would like to 'try it out' so to speak. I have had decent (and some bad) clients from both websites.
Although Birchplace is as you say very slow and doesn't seem to work very well it does generate a lot of work, so I wouldn't avoid listing there just because of that. ?24 for a year's positioning in the escort directory isn't bad.
A TS friend of mine told me the only sites which work for her are Birchplace and AW and she's been at it longer than I have so I'd assume that's accurate.
I recently put a profile on TVChix which was ?20/six months I think and resulted in a fair bit of interest and has generated a one hour booking so far so that might also be worth looking at.
Apart from that maybe a website of your own would be beneficial? I've recently had my own created (thanks to Emily and Ian on here) which seems to be paying off.
I'm also listed on a lot of the free directories though I never seem to get anyone mentioning them.

Hi there

Yes I think we have all had trouble with bp, my profiles been deleted numerous times , its transfered over but none of the escort ad wording is gone as are most of my pics, my video files were lost and so were my earnings when e passporte went down , problems aswell as other members get jealous and report you, both myself and a few others just do as juiliette does just advertise my services for the year, when I first joined bp was rxxx and was great but has just gone down the pan really quickly, I rarely go on the site now..literally to check my mail and renew my ad each year

Good listings sites are of course adultwork, tv chic, tranzescorts is a good one for free listing and you can speak to the owner via twitter ! Really nice person fro the dealing I've had with them

Also get on twitter, really good marketing tool to potential escort/cam clients, clients like to feel your a real person and want to connect to you.

I get a lot of business through specific tv/ts escort mags my own escorting site and from adultwork. But birchplace is still worthy of a listing, a lot of guys find my own site via birchplace.

As for guys just from birchplace being a ill "freaky" I found no matter where I advertise I still find the odd call when I wanna throw up once it's ended lol hard sports is usually the one thing that makes me gag lol

Good luck xx

PL & PN are very anti trans.
AW is fine
BP - totally crap now since they altered the site two weeks ago.
I now get a very occasional call from BP, god knows how as I struggle to find my ad.
Eros - only worth it if you are in London.
Try local paper.
But not Loot as Loot only works in London - my opinion and a friend's.

When I got in touch with BP recently they told me I'd have to buy extra credits in order to qualify for technical support! What a farce, the site was bad enough before but they've managed the rare feat of making it even worse with the update!
According to their email I am 'escort Pro ranking: 481' (wtf?!) and so buy 'you need to buy extra credits for a more prominent position in the directory'! I find you now need to click on 'south east' for a list of escorts in no specific order of location and trawl through them to find your own, how the heck a would be punter is supposed to find a local escort amidst all this I don't know.
They don't seem to see any issue with the fact that I paid for the listing on the 'old' site to be displayed clearly at the front of the directory under my area name rather than tucked away in some sort of maze to be found only by the dedicated!
Such a messy site...

why dont you set up your own directory specialising in tv /ts if there isnt a proper market for it and your finding it hard to advertise   Its not much harder than doing your own website and  you could do it as a hobby at first maybe between yourself and a few friends

if there is no really no real good place to advertise then  you could possible in the future be making money from it from others that want to advertise

if you take all the good things from the directories  minus all the crap stuff then i think you would be on to  a winner  as you know what you want  its just not out there at the moment

Start off small and simple and go from there
