How to react to an aggressive client??
« on: 16 October 2014, 07:00:12 am »
What to do when your with a client who is becoming violent or giving off negative vibes??? I will have a driver and such and someone to know where I am,but what should I do if it happens? Any code words that I text my friend? Like excuse myself to the bathroom and make a call? And another question!(: I live in the US where fire arms are legal. Should I carry a fire arm,or just pepper spray? Taser? How well does pepper spray work? If anyone has any advice on how to keep safe without being overly scared of the worst happening(: and also warning signs of a not so friendly client?(: Thanks guys!! XOXOOXX JAZZ

My advice is to stay calm and polite in these situations, always have your phone to hand and know where your exits are, also don't stress about getting away with your money if a guy is getting nasty.
Amazing that you're allowed to have a gun in America but not allowed to prostitute yourself! Scary x

This is a mostly British forum and so nobody here can advise you on firearms. The laws vary by state and you should check your state laws carefully. Then, you should consider the actual potential for your firearm to be used against you.

As for aggressive/scary clients - one thing I would advise is: if you are so frightened that you would consider using force, then that is  situation where you should give back the money. Never let the money cloud your judgement. Giving them their money back may help you get out of there. Even if you think you've earned it because you've been having sex for an hour or something you should do what you can to appease him and get out safely.

And that applies to early in the booking, as well. If you get a bad vibe, tell him any excuse you can to refund and leave.

Always remember too that any weapon you take to use on them could easily be removed from you and used on YOU. Not a nice thought.

If you use a taser or pepper spray, you have a split second to surprise him, so you have to get it right. A much better option is not to have a weapon, which he can take off you and use against you. Go on a self defense course that teaches you how to fight "dirty" i.e. thumbs in eye balls, sharp crack of the elbow to shatter the nose, etc. Something to give you the chance to get away.

Pepper spray or similar in UK is illegal.  Amy may be along soon to tell you exactly what laws are being broken.

Strange, isn't it. All offensive weapons are illegal, but I would happily break the law to defend myself. Better alive and in court for using pepper spray, than dead. High price for not breaking the law.  How can it be illegal to try and stay alive.  :(

I would go for pepper spray a firearm or tazer can be used against you.  Or a can or deoderant can be used to disarm a guy if sprayed directly into his eyes also see if you can not take a short course on self defence just to learn the basics.  Whenever i walk somewhere and i do not feel safe i use my housekeys i slip my finger through the key ring and place a sharp key inbetween two fingers, that way it can be jabbed at the eye or any fleshy parts and distract someone long enough for me to run.

I wouldn't carry a gun or a tazer. Pepper spray definitely works - I've been sprayed by the stuff the police here in the UK carry & it REALLY hurts. You can't wash it off coz it just makes it worse, you just have to wait for it to wear off, which takes AGES. It also filled my apartment with such a gassy stink that, even hours later, I was unable to stay there until the next day. And even having left all the windows open overnight, there was still quite a noticeable smell left over the next day, though the eye-burning feeling had subsided.
I'm not sure how true it is, but I've heard that the UK police stuff is classed as a firearm & has to be signed in/out as the officers clock in/out. This is possibly why it's illegal in the UK? Even homemade pepper spray is supposed to be illegal too - I looked into recipes online when I was cornered by a client at a hotel a couple of months ago after I told him I wouldn't be able to stay all night.
You could just look at the items you regularly carry with you, like keys, mobile phone, toys, etc & see what could be used as a weapon in an emergency. A crack to the head with the edge of your mobile phone would really hurt, as would a jab to the ribs with a hard plastic vibrator. There's a wealth of videos on YouTube about self-defense techniques, including effective pressure points, so I'd watch those for some pointers.
Non omnia posumes omnes.

Agree with Fabulassie - give them the money back as soon as you realise they could get nasty - it is not worth the money to be put in a bad situation. You can usually get the vibes as soon as you meet someone and always trust your gut instinct.

Pepper spray/CS gas is classed as a firearm in the UK and therefore illegal to possess and/or use. If you get caught possessing it by the boys in blue, you can get up to 10 years in prison, even if you have it to make you feel safe.

Hairspray directly into the eyes useful, but only if you think you are at risk of harm and used as self defence only;  a very high pitched rape alarm close to hand, is the best and legal.
Always make sure the client knows as soon as you meet, that someone else knows where you are - best to be done discreetly by text. x
