Problem with vivastreet
« on: 02 November 2012, 07:57:23 pm »
Does anyone problem yesterday and today with advertising on Vivastreet? Or just me?
I changed my location today morning (i paid for it the extra 70 pounds) and they deactivated my advert... :FF
i have no ide why...i didnt change anything else...only the location.
They did it yesterday too, but later they activated it...
But today thw whole day was deactivated...i sent them emails, no reply...only this automatic reply...
I phoned them at least 20times...no reply...
Could anyone of you ladys help me what to do? I am pretty new on the vivastreet, so i am helpless now...  :(

To be honest Vivastreet are a pain in the ass.

There is more of 'what you cant put in ad' than what you can put.  Makes it very difficult and means you have to go through a lot or rigmarole when someone calls for info.  If you suggest even anything with a slight sexual connotation they will deactivate your ad.

They have a telephone number you can call but no one ever answers it so why bother showing it.

Sorry I cant be of any more help, all I would say is, look over your ad again and see if there is slightly suggestive and if there is change it.  If not just continue emailing them.
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

I looked it over and over again...still have no idea what is their problem...
But you know what is strange? My ad was on for 2 weeks in September...now i came back to work 10 days ago, and my ad was activated without problem...
Today I didnt changed nothing...not even 1 word in my ad...only the location.
realy dont understand... and i am so angry with them...i think its so unfair! and i can't do anything!

I had a message from them earlier this week saying they were having problems as some of their servers are based in New York and have been affected by the storm.

Maybe that's having an effect on things this end?

I've just had a look for the email to see exactly what it said, but I've deleted it.

It may still be in your deleted box Jasmine.

No, it's been emptied.  I should have kept it in case of problems but for some reason I deleted it, but have kept the one from them about selling all the stuff I longer want.  ::)

What annoys me is they charge for unlimited location change but it's not automatic. It could take 3 days to update and by then you've moved again.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

I have been on over a year now/. What happens is some mods allow when others don't. Basically be plain and simple words. If viva street suspect that you selling sex they remove.

It happened to me all the time when I feature changing nothing. So now am even more reluctant to these days because it can get annoying. It could be the photo size.

When I was going to Belfast last month I decided to put an ad up on Vivastreet.  In the Title I had 'Escort' which is fine but when it was deactivated 8 to 10 times I started taking it out thinking it may have been another rule they had changed since the last time I had advertised with them.

It is under the title of 'Escort' or 'Massage' so they definitely know we are selling sex.  They specifically ask you to put whether you are 'escort' or 'massage'.

I did eventually get my ad to go live but what a palaver I had.

I stopped bothering with them as found them too stressful but wonder if I would've done better on recent Scottish tour had I used them.

@LOTM - I don't think it would have made a lot of difference.  In NI there are only 54 (at present) advertising there.  In Scotland there are 181 (at present) advertising there.  In areas apart from NI your ad just gets lost in the myriad of other ads.  :(

Ive heard girls in  Scotland saying it is deathly quiet just now.   Ive cut back drastically on my work  because of my age but my phone is still ringing a lot but we all know that calls do not always make bookings.
