Private Houses Visits

How do you screen your clients when you go to private house to be sure it's not a waste of time because the guy could send wrong address?
Thanks a lot

I currently use a deposit system.

Before I did this I asked for a landline which I can look up in a directory and speak to them on, or copy of recent bill (last 3 months).

I ask for their full name and landline number.

Aside from that all the usual screening methods, including confirmation at an agreed time.

Tends to filter out the TWs.

I've started doing this. I've maybe had one or two people who seemed slightly funny and went quiet but the rest were more than happy to do this! I just explained my reasons why when I asked them.

I just Google the address to check it exists
It's all very well just googling the address to make sure it exists, but I got invited to an apartment which I knew full well existed because I lived in the apartment block bang opposite a few years before and when I got there it turned out he'd given me somebody else's address.

And that was somebody who otherwise passed my screening, followed all my procedures with no issue and gave me no reason in the slightest to think there might be any issue whatsoever.

Exactly. My next door neighbours' address exists, but I'm pretty sure the little old lady who lives there doesn't punt (although who knows? :D)

Another lady mentioned that guys open hotel room door and send her the shot of it.
Maybe the Outcalls to guys private homes could do the same for but there's always the risk they were inside someone else's

Amazon gift cards can be used for deposits. People send them to any email address and can never have to know your real name or postal address.

Or... I've just downloaded app called "square cash" its a green icon app. Took 2 minutes to set up. You can create a unique anonymous user hashtag and people can send money to it anonymously. And it goes into your Apple Pay wallet or can be off loaded into a bank account. Yet to use this for deposits. But will be next month.
I never send out my personal bank details ever.

Amazon gift cards can also be bought in most shops, supermarkets even very small ones. The sender just gives you the codes from the back, but they must be accurate. Have had some genuine mistakes, and some mistakes I suspect are pulling my leg. ::)

I used to do a 192.com check and also ask for the landline number and call them, but I have never done an outcall to a house that wasn't booked online, I would be too scared without seeing other positive feedback

Best way to avoid going to an address that is a  fake booking
Just ask them to send a recent bill with there name and address on by text/whatsapp doing this i have had no fake outcalls.

I use the electoral register to check the name against the address.

I wouldn't be comfortable with them blanking out their name. The whole point is to check they are who they say they are & are living at that property.

I've had clients send a picture of their driver license by email.

It becomes more difficult when they are in a holiday rental. You would then need to see the original booking email confirmation. I went out to a holiday caravan park once to a guy who was working in the area.
