Title: Peace of sponge stuck inside
Post by: SweetAngel on 03 March 2017, 03:20:38 am
So I used this beppy sponge again today as i still have a bit spotting after period. Anyways, when I was trying to remove (which was serious fight) trying to pull it I believe I left small peace of it inside. When I managed to take it out I saw a veeery tiny peace of it missing. I dont know what to do. I cant take it out because its very small but in the same time I am afraid it can cause some kind of infection etc. Did that happen to someone? Do you think the body will take it out or I should go to the clinic?  :-[

Everytime I remove a sponge I take the head off the shower and stick it inside as high as it will go. This removes anything left inside. xx

+1.
You should go see a nurse. Simply say you had a romantic date with your boyfriend and a friend advised you to try sponge. Or say something similar.

If you dont get it out go to the clinic, this happened to me and I had to go clinic the smell by the time it came out horrified me, dont leave it because of toxic shock syndrome, good luck x

It's embarrassing to admit but I once left it inside for the night. And it was the end of my period so not much blood.
Next morning I had a booking and the moment the guy withdrew from me I thought I would throw up. The smell!!! He didn't notice anything thank god but it was awful plus yes toxic shock risk as well.

Hospital.

Ive had to go for the same thing, I just said I wanted to have sex with my boyfriend on my period and someone told me to do that.  It was embarassing for me but they were fine about it, put the salad tongs in and had it out in seconds.

Hospital? think the nhs is in enuff crisis without showing up at a&e on a Friday morn , the op posted this in the morn, nurse at docs would have seen her without any probs!

I didn't see that....I of course wouldn't have gone if it was a friday morning I would have gone to the nurse at my Gp practice.  It happened to me on a 1am booking on friday night/saturday morning and I was worried about the risk of toxic shock leaving it in until monday.  That's why I went to the hospital via NHS 24.
