Renting my flat other sex workers
« on: 15 February 2013, 03:12:40 pm »
Hope you can help or suggest some-one else, and sorry f all ready covered off som-where else...

We are an escorting couple and we have a number of friends who also work in this industry.

We and our friends generally work out of hotels at the moment, but I (Tony) have a rented flat that has recently become vacant. Some of friends have asked if we will rent it to them on odd days so they can work out of it. Probably have 4 different ladies in on 4 different days of the week, and us occassionally (but escort couples are not that busy!)

I would like advice from some-one on the legal position. I have read what I can, but this is a grey area, I think. Technically it would be a brothel as there would be more than 1 person using the flat, although only 1 at a time. However, I am only renting the flat on a daily basis and have no ?control?. It would be difficult for me to deny I know that the girls were engaged in prostitution because I have known them all for years, and you cannot hide from the electronic snoppers that easily...
However, they are all English and ?well? over 18, so no other laws being broken.

Can I be prosecuted for running a brothel?

I know this may be a difficult question, and maybe not directly related to your main interests. However, our friends would prefer to use a flat because of the added security it gives, none of them like the idea that a hotel can chuck them out on the street at a moment?s notice, and this does happen.

Your help appreciated.

Tony & Susan

Keeping / managing a brothel used for prostitution is the main offence - you'd control it via saying who could use it when, for example.

Even if you were completely totally hands off, it's an offence to allow a brothel in property you own / rent / control.

Whether anyone cares depends on where you are and what the neighbours think about it all.

Many ladies on here rent rooms out.

Don't do what someone I knew done and had 3 girls every day in her cul de sac house lol and one of the girls was a noisy bitch lol.

It was a nice place and the owner wasn't controlling us but the police broke in and raided it.

In my opinion if it's odd days with one quiet lady you have a better chance I being ok than the scenario I just mentioned.x
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.
