Oxford recommendations for a newbie

Hello everyone  :)

I'm sorry if this question has been asked a thousand times - I am new to the city and the scene, but have not been able to find anyone in this forum or beyond who could give me some advice on Oxford. Which Oxford-based agencies are great and which should better be avoided? As I am a student looking to earn some money to pay for my course (I know, old story) I was thinking to go with an agency for now to feel safer at the beginning as I do not think it makes sense for me to go fully independent - as a newbie who is not planning on working full-time and I don't have a big network here yet :)

In my opinion agencies aren’t any safer than being independent and in my experience quite the opposite. A large amount of them are in it solely for the money and will send just about anyone just so they get paid. My advice to you would be set up your own AW, take as many bookings via there as possible prioritising those with lots of feedback from girls who also have feedback and utilise client eye with any number looking to book, that way you can disregard those with bad reports. Over time you will be able to pick things up from text speak etc on who is going to be a timewaster/weirdo.

I started off as a newbie many years ago as independent and was also also part time. I would never entertain the idea of an agency to me they just glorified pimps essentially.

It's so easy and cheap to get between Oxford and London - why not work in London? I started escorting when I was a student in Oxford, doing 1-2 bookings a week in London.

Oxford is pretty small and not especially wealthy!

Well the OP could, but why would she when there's ample work where she is without a two hour round trip, accompanying travel costs and the stress of being miles from home should something go wrong? That said, I've worked in Oxford for a whole two days and that was as much as I could stand from some of the most entitled punters I've ever met.

I think being very part time makes being independent easier still tbh; you can use email rather than taking calls so you can answer enquiries when it suits you rather getting pestered by an agency pimp to do more (because the more you work, the more money they get). And you can hammer the very part time stuff in your marketing - scarcity appeals to some :)

It's really useful to hear that even if I am only part-timing, organising both my own time and clients makes more sense than working with an agency that might just take some of the rate without providing me more safety.

If anyone who reads this knows their way around oxford, and if AW is the best way to reach clients here (so many business fancy pants people passing through here, is AW where they would go look for sum?) would be happy to chat! x

AW is a simple way to start and it is free to get started on there and it is how the majority of booking are made anywhere in the country.
Definitely start that way.

Years ago, I and many others weren't on AW, and it was much more seedy, but things have changed.

Beyond AW, if you are going to stick with this work for more than a year, then set up your own website.

Agencies are PIMPs.
They haven't got your back.
And they won't help to schedule appointments at times that suit you they will just pass clients on to a girl who is available right then.
