I think Twitter is amazing, but I follow real people (a lot of women who are or have been in some aspect of the sex industry plus anyone funny, witty, hilarious and/or good at frequently sharing the most interesting news/stories) rather than bots (the bogus Twitter accounts).

Here are some relevant things I just discovered by Googling, such as how to get rid of spambot followers and amusing statistics.

I am saying OMG for an entirely different reason, Emily, have you  clicked on Pew's tiny little link to his ad on rentaboy. I may have to take a trip to the Holyland, if they building them like that out there. Nice Pecs, oh and welcome. :p

Yeah, I have a Twitter widget on my homepage. Not sure if many clients use Twitter (they'd probably have to have two accounts if so, a good one and an OMG-sexxxy-sex-ladies one that their 'good list' friends aren't allowed to see) and only one of my followers has made a booking as far as I know. But as I said, I don't use it to chat with clients for free and tend to ignore most of the men on there, frankly, as they don't often use their sexxxy-sex Twitter accounts to say anything worth listening to. The women on the other hand? Funny, insightful and knowledgeable, whether famous (like BdJ) or just someone I admire (like Penny and Violette). I follow a lot of strippers in the US, actually, because they are so blunt and honest and hilarious! You can see on my Twitter profile who I follow and therefore recommend.

If that silly law in Scotland passes this may be the way we are doing business in the future. I haven't had any clients from Twitter yet, but I have had some mention my blog and podcasts, so it is getting us out there in the world.
