To me it all sounds like a bit of game playing, the paying by cheque and his 'angry wife' ringing during the booking...Maybe he just wants his presence felt  ::)

I'm really relieved for you but don't take a cheque again you don't know if the next one might bounce!

Oh don't worry. I won't be doing an Outcall again. I can't stand them and it's too knackering.

I hate outcalls as well! I hate being out of my comfort zone. When I'm doing incalls I know where everything is, I know the place is clean and tidy, and if he turns up without the full fee I can just tell him to fuck off without any waste of time for me.

I started off as outcall only but my god I would hate to go back to it!

I think in the circumstances of being offered a cheque I'd probably say either lets go to the nearest cashpoint, or I'd accept a bank transfer. But after driving 45 minutes I can understand why you accepted it if that was the only option he would give.
And me, I am not a mess, I am a wilderness, yes
The undiscovered continent for you to undress

Lucky you! Don't accept cheques again.
I wouldn't see this guy again though. He has already tested you. Next time he may insist to pay by cheque again and it will bounce. Be strict. They have to play by our rules and not theirs.
There are always guys who will pay by cash and the right amount - at the end of the day it is a commercial transaction.
Relieved for you.

Also - I may be wrong but I'm fairly sure that if you've been convicted of fraud that you can by law only have a very basic bank account in the future for obvious reasons. Chequebooks are never issued as part of a basic account.

You might be thinking of bankruptcy?

I'm exactly the same VC  outcalls make me feel physically sick

I have 2 hotels that I can practically throw stones at from my flat in Bristol but I refuse to do outcalls to them 😂 occasionally I will do an outcall for a regular client but generally its a flat out no .
