The bareback thread has inspired me to start a thread to discuss what 'other' girls do or what is expected of an Escort. These are all things said to me by guys I've either met or not met depending on the situation!

1. Send a photo to their phone
2. Discuss fantasies before meeting
3. Chat on msn so "I can get to know you before we meet/Can find out what I'm paying for"
4.Send flirty texts in the lead up to an appointment (been told other women who only accept 1 booking a day do this)
5. Answer withheld numbers/take bookings from withheld numbers or payphones
6. Give out their full address before first appointment
7. Meet me in my hotel for a free (unpaid for)meal
8. Accept a booking via email only

I'd really like to hear about all of these since guys make out these are all things other girls do. I don't mind if any of you do, I just want to find out if they are true. Especially since some have said I'm being very unfriendly and ungrateful of their business because I can't find the time to have a text-chat conversation leading up to a booking.

Am I alone in thinking that extended contact with new or existing clients can become intrusive and simply isn't required?

This is a good point. I used to hear similar when I first started. Not a lot, just guys trying to get me to expand on my services.

1. With a website, why on earth would we want to send more photos?

4. I only take one booking a day and no, this isn't something I do. Otherwise I'd consider it phone sex and ask for a deposit.
5. A big nope.
6. Any lady that gives out their full address to a client before meeting him needs her head examined.

8. Not something I would do personally. I'll accept a booking via email, but they'd still have to call to confirm. I need to hear his voice to help me have an idea of him before I meet him.

I don't do any of the things you list-its too much,too intrusive,complicated,risky,not needed etc.....Although having said that I do do number 2 on your list a little-let me explain.....I offer uniform roleplay & in my ads it says '....to help you act out your fantasies....'so if a client requests a uniform it is often followed by describing the scenario the client would like it to be.....boss with secretary etc...so I discuss fantasies on that level but not otherwise....does that make sense?I hope so!
The others on your list are definite no nos for me!
Alot ask for photos to be sent to their phone & when I said no to the last guy who asked & directed him to my website he dropped himself in it by saying he didn't have access to a PC,a breath earlier he 'had seen the ad on the internet..' No PC access eh?! He hung up when I pointed out what he had said-think he thought I wouldn't realise!
As for contact...there is no real need for prolonged contact with a client...as anyone reading this will know from my other thread re a client bugging me...thats its asking for trouble...

It's your decision how to do business, so who cares what other girls do? If they don't like the way you do things, they should go elsewhere.

My PC crashed, only viewed on phone, don't you want to get to know me..........why don't you value my business enough to keep in constant text contact, emails or meet me for lunch afterwards.

I say get a new PC, I'll get to know you in the appointment, I do value your business however other clients happen to make very good busines within a few contacts. So what does that say to you?

Strawberry, set your boundaries and don't be afraid to tell someone to sod off. They are always going to try to see what they can get away with, it is the nature of the beast we work with.
But to answers some of your questions:
1.What Brandy said.
2.I do do this, because I offer a Role play and DOM service, and some gentlemen are quite specific about what they want. This is the only exception. And then it isn't really fantasies I am discussing, it is more what type of Domination I provide, what type of equipment, and so on and so forth.

I don't know how you do things. When I take incalls at a hotel, I don't go out to meet the clients, I have them come up to me. I give out the room number when they actually get there.

When I started I was willing to talk to people on withheld numbers, although I wouldn't make a booking without getting a number. It's not a good strategy if you don't want your time wasted. Now I answer to tell them they need to show their number.

Let me define some of these pointers

1. Did do it at the start and only once had a booking from one guy. Remainder wanted me to spend hours flirting online and webcamming on the promise of a 1 hour booking. I found I was getting no time away from the job since I was online being 'Ruth' when I wasn't in appointments.
3&7 are usually requested by new clients who "want to get to know you" who've then turned out to either not to be able to afford to see me at my usual rates(NO I DIDN'T agree to the free time), or clients who I've hardly seen who expect special consideration.
4. I'm talking constant sexy texts i.e. you find yourself being expected to be texting walking through town, doing your shopping etc. I've actually missed others texting, sent the wrong one to the wrong person or had my inbox filled so can't receive texts from other clients as a result of this. Oh, and the odd one got stroppy when I couldn't reply since I was driving!
6. I offer incalls from home in an area where discretion is extremely important and some clients would cringe if they knew I was blurting out my address to anyone who rang.
