Amazon gift certs
« on: 25 September 2015, 03:46:53 pm »
Apologies if this has been answered before, but I cant see it anywhere.

Can Amazon gift certificates be charged back?  If someone buys one in a shop that would be impossible, but if they do it online, they could potentially say someone had hacked their account.  I have had more people want to pay a deposit this way and I am very nervous of risking it.  Is there anyway of telling if the certificate they have bought is from a shop or online, when they give me the number to redeem it on the phone.

I have shopped on Amazon for years and don't want to risk getting in to problems.

Not once you've applied them to your account.

Thanks, that puts my mind at rest and I can now accept them.

Yep, they are anonymous and 'untakebackable'.

Depends who you speak to because I have never had an issue with Amazon gift cards but on a camming forum I am a member of some camgirls swore they are not 100% non-refundable unless you spend some of the gift card after you've applied it to the account.

I won't post a link to the forum/thread here but if you wish to PM me about it I will send you the link that way. It's interesting because I always assumed it was safe but some camgirls have been burned recently so maybe they have changed their rules or something.
