Old landlord

Have been receiving threats from a old landlord because I’ve got back to work and from a new place
He thinks I owe him and is telling me to pay him every week or else
What should I do this has got me paranoid and I don’t know what to do just crying because I work independently and feel like he’s trying to control me and my money

Report to the police. Blackmail is treated very seriously. If you did genuinely owe him any money the police will tell him to go to the small claims court. If he continues you can get an injunction against him.

I don’t owe him anything he’s just being salty and saying if I don’t pay him he will make sure I can’t work ever again
I’ve reported it but just waiting for a call back

You can also contact NUM for support, don't let this guy bully and intimidate you and get away with it, as said above blackmail is a serious criminal offence x

Thank you I have done I’m just waiting back
I suffer with anxiety so this is really getting to me I’m just trying not to worry hopefully I can get him in trouble for this and get back to work and living normal

Exactly that it started with him using a fake number to book me then the client said “he had been kidnapped outside and that men said they wanted to speak to me and will be in touch “ next day I had loads of blackmailing texts and I put it all together

Thanks I’ve spoke to someone this morning about this and should be safe
