Everyone has lapses in judgement where they don't necessarily use their common sense this wasn't the OP's fault it was the twat who conned her, she's obviously fairly new and if people like that waste of oxygen didn't exist she wouldn't have to look out for it in the first place

I accept bank transfers and credit card though Chip 'n' Pin no problems and never had a charge back so cash isn't necessarily king it's just the most convenient payment method. This person was looking for a free shag and it wouldn't have mattered who was the victim he's still a conman.

I don't necessarily disagree with everything you are saying I just think you were unduly harsh in how you delivered it to a newbie. We were all new once and we've no doubt all made mistakes so some compassion when someone realises they have been stupid shouldn't be too much to ask.

In answer to your question yes I've accepted bank transfers and credit card payments from both new and regular clients and never had a problem. 'No money, no honey' still applies I double check the money is in my bank account or card processor dashboard before the booking starts same as I would count the cash in front of the client. Never had a chargeback either in 3 years so both methods are safe if you check everything is in order before providing the service.

Oh and I never trust a punter and I am a money hungry bitch but a careful one
