offering duosessions
« on: 25 April 2016, 10:08:32 am »
So I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Mainly I offer Domme services with a kinky gfe and I work 3 days a week together with a girlfriend. We offer double domination services in the Netherlands

Nowadays we rent a hotel room and alternate between duo sessions and me having single sessions. She has no single sessions on her own. She does not have much income and because she does not have any single sessions she's on a tight budget. Usually I turn down several clients for a single session in favour of duo sessions, so she will not be left out. I cherish my friendship.

But after three months of working together I'm feeling a dilemma. Yesterday and today I've turned down 8 genuine clients for a single session with me. A few regulars as well. And that's a whole lot of money which I could use to cover my holiday expenses this week. I've called her and explained my situation and asked her how we could solve this, because if no one calls for a duosession, I'll resent myself for saying no to serious clients. Her only reaction was that she thought that there will be more enquiries later this day for duos.

Later today I will see her and I want to talk to her about how this can be handled in the future. Do you have any tips for me how to start?

I don't think anyone can reasonably expect you to turn down work just in case someone rings for a duo.So I think you need to just tell her that you will do whatever comes in first. So if someone rings for just you then you do that booking. If someones rings for a duo then you do that if it was booked in before hand.Friendship is one thing but you can't put yourself on hold waiting around for duos. She must surely understand that.

I don't understand why your friend would be ok with you losing money just to accommodate her working preference, if she doesn't do single bookings that's up to her and if your friend is broke she can either rethink her choice in doing singles or stay broke.
I would never give up my clients and lose business because a friend CHOOSES not to do single work.
I would say to her if doubles come up fine as they don't interfere with my single bookings we can do them but I wont lose business because she don't fancy working as a single. That's madness.

Thank you! She actually would like to do single sessions but gets no enquiries for this, though she advertises for it as well.
I think I'll take bibis approach.

Does she get enquiries for the duos or do those come through yourself?

Yes she does get some enquiries for duo. But mainly the requests come through me

If most of the work is coming through yourself it sounds like maybe her advertising needs some work.

I hate to say this but it sounds like she needs to not only work on her advertising but to maybe work on her service. It seems strange to me that she is not getting enquiries and clients of her own.It seems to me she needs to sort herself out on this regard rather than riding on your coat tails and work she gets from you.As friends you could both sit down together and maybe help her work through why she isn't getting work it may be that you discover that she hasn't put effort in because she has become complacent and has been happy to rely on you for any work she get's.This does need sorting as it will end up spoiling a friendship.

I agree with the others, and I'd add that if you keep turning clients away, surely you're damaging your own longer term business, as you may annoy regulars and deter new ones?

Yes, this is exactly why I want to talk with her this afternoon.
I have helped her by telling her to make her own website and Twitter but she's indeed relying on me. Now I feel it's really affecting me I need to talk to her or minimize the amount of days working together. For her this is a side step, for me it's my career.
