Obsessive clients
« on: 24 February 2024, 10:44:41 am »
Does anybody have any tips to dealing with obsessive clients?

The clients that message you every day for no reason.  I haven't been any more clearer that I don't chat in-between meets.

What are your concerns about blocking this person ?
Was it a regular client or one off visit ?

Yes I have my own way but it may not suit others 😏
It's only happened once and with a man I'd seen many times before he started the texting. He began doing it in between bookings and was just a bit of sexy texting which bothered me because I kept reading the messages with hardly a reply to him. I kindly requested that he only texted to make his next booking. He ignored that. He did it again and again and despite my telling him not to he must have felt entitled as he was by then what I classed as a long term regular.

I banned (but didn't block) him and explained why. 6 months later he pleaded forgiveness and promised he would never do it again. Things have been fine since

I had one years ago who used to do this and he was a good regular, but it drove me nuts and it's so intrusive - I got to dreading looking at my phone when it went because there would just be more of the same crap (it was before the days of smartphones and blocking texts) and obviously you can't switch your phone off because work.

I used to occasionally answer asking when it was he wanted to book and for how long, but in the end I told him that I don't offer a text chat service and suggested he look online and find somebody who did if that was what he wanted. It also sometimes helped to remind him that I was working - leave a bit of a delay and then reply with something about how you have a really busy day and another punter due soon, so you just need to know when he wants to book? He won't, and IME it keeps them quiet for a bit.

I seem to get this type loads, In the end I just have to block and not see them again. It's a Shame because they are good earners but it becomes intrusive and they just want to feel like they are special clients that know things about you other clients don't.

I just got rid of one that knew he was being a pest,,This types got not life and they become obsessed with you.
