Not following booking instructions
« on: 03 October 2021, 09:15:47 am »
Hello ladies
I hope you are all OK. Just after some advice as I'm a little confused. My advertising always tells clients that they must text me with their details and then I will arrange a call to confirm. This is very clearly written on my profile.
I do this because I like to be able to get all the information I need quickly.
I've found that many clients don't do this. I don't know if it's because they don't want to text and prefer to call or that they don't read the profile?
I get more calls then I do texts, and I text them back but they often don't reply.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation?
Thank you x

It's a combination of the things you mention, but mostly it's because the men who ignore your booking instructions have no regard for you and your boundaries - it's about them doing things the way they want. It's called entitlement (with a side of laziness).

Being able to follow instructions to the letter is part of my screening. So, in my book, behaviour such as this is a red flag and I will not see anyone who cannot follow my very clear instructions as to how to make contact with me.

I am the opposite I prefer calls partly because of the lack of basic details provided by text, and the back and forth that then ensues. My adverts clearly state I prefer phone call, email second choice but I still get lots of texts including "I know you don't like texts but I really want to see you".

A certain proportion of the calls are similarly lacking politeness, and basics but I find it easier than typing everything and constant pinging. What I do have is a template text containing link to my website, request to phone including the hours my phone is usually on. Quite a few do phone after receiving this, if they carry on with the lack of information or chit chat texts, the same is resent until finally I block.

Once in a blue moon I do receive a polite, informative text message (or email) and this type of enquiry all things being equal will receive a response.

I agree I prefer clients who can follow my instructions, it is a red flag

I'm thinking of changing my way of working and answering calls instead as recently I feel I am missing out on work especially on quieter tours

I know some people really do not like phone calls but it has helped me detect those who are under the influence of alcohol and drugs, also those unable to speak enough english to communicate.

This is precisely the reason I prefer phone calls and I think it gives you a better idea of the type of person they are and if they're the sort of client you want. No method is foolproof though obviously.
Also Sparkly  I think guys would maybe worry that you'd text/call them back at an inconvenient time, like when they are with their partner.

I think it's often not deliberately ignoring as such, more just not bothering to read the ad (and assuming you're talking mostly about AW I reckon the split is close to 90%/10% for those who don't bother with anything bar the phone number.

I prefer texts because I don't want to have to sit around in my flat to answer calls and I like a written record of what's been agreed ro refer back to. They have to call for final directions when they get to my street (for the same reason; I'm not texting my address to anybody) and should I ever get one turning up pissed, I can pick them out then - I don't really care if they've had a couple of drinks two days before they visit.

What I do have is a call blocker that texts anyone who calls asking them to text me or call back at X time - do you have anything like that ST? That way at least they feel like they're getting an answer :).

Its strange logic. If I was a man I would rather the escort texts me back instead of calling 🤣

Thanks Amy. I do prefer texts because they are easier to deal with and calls are more time consuming.
A call blocker is a good idea. Could you advise me on how to set this up please?

A lot of guys don't welcome random texts either, if when their phone pings it draws attention from a partner who may be with them.
Maybe suggesting arranging a suitable time to text them back by email would work better for you?

I always ask them to call when they arrive because I feel safer with them not having a text with my room number on it when they leave. The amount that still text  :FF so I call them and say I dod ask you to call.

I don’t think many do it on purpose it’s busy lives. The excitement of the booking. Anxious to get in the room etc.

I have blocked multiple people who enquired about meeting for the simple reason that I didn't even have escort services ticked when they enquired. They're window lickers. If they can't be bothered to get the basic details right then I think they are not serious.

I only accept text as a communication medium but this doesn't stop the multiple calls. In my personal experience, they look at the pretty pictures and hit the call button. Rarely (and more so these days it seems) do they read my full profile. The AW app isn't the best and I do think sometimes they don't realise there are various "tabs" they can click on. But if I do contact a caller and say it's text only, there aren't that many who continue to request a call. If they call me persistently or outside my working hours, they're blocked immediately.

I agree that it's a boundary thing and some clients couldn't really care less what your requirements are and fail to heed any requests. But, look at it this way, better they overstep before they're in your home or place of work :)

Yep!  There isn't a day that goes by that I don't have multiple phone calls (my title asks them to text) Where I am (second line of profile) and if I am working (main body of profile in big letters).  A horny man is a stupid man.
