Not enough enquiries? Help me to see what's wrong
« on: 29 February 2024, 01:33:34 pm »
Hello!

Any advice on  my situation would be much appreciated.

I don't seem to be getting many enquiries. I started in October last year. I've had a few clients since then but no where near what I anticipated.

I have a website and 99% of my enquiries come from there via Twitter/X.

How many enquiries do you successful ladies get per week?

Something is definitely wrong but I can't pin point what! I hear of other women making £1k a week or more. I just can't see how I can do that.

Do you have an adultwork or Vivastreet or advertise anywhere else except your website and twitter?

I have Adultseek that's it. I wanted to try Aw but don't want to verify.

Are you somewhere that has local directories? London has a good few and there are plenty of national sites too - have a look in the Where To Advertise thread :)

I tried city of love, ukadultzone and 22burlington for a month or two. Nothing much came from any of them.

My friend uses AW and is working so much more than me so it's a bit frustrating.

AW faults aside is probably the best option, I know the verification part is a bit of a  :FF but I do think clients like this as it gives some assurance that you are genuine (unlike VS for example).

You're probably right! I've just heard horror stories about sending ID etc. it just puts me off.

I tried city of love, ukadultzone and 22burlington for a month or two. Nothing much came from any of them.

I was thinking more of London Escort Guide, London Independents, Massage Republic - I've had a few from City of Love too but nothing happens overnight. There's also Tryst, which I don't use but seems to have a lot of the Twitter set.

AW verification doesn't really give any assurance that anybody is genuine (since the profiles can be sold and swapped in a nanosecond - we've removed enough posts from here trying to do so), but yes, some punters are dumb enough to think it will. And Adultwork is by and large where the dumb punters hang out :)

Leaving all that aside (and so we don't wind up with another WTA thread), do you have a blog and plenty of pictures online; are your working hours/days restrictive and do you offer incalls? There are lots of things that can reduce the amount of bookings you get, even if some of them you can't do anything about.

Im based in the Midlands.

I only work certain days at certain times so for example I may do Friday 11- 4. I'm not available all the time.

I've done my research and my rates are comparable to others in the area. Maybe slightly on the higher side.

I only want two guys max every day I work which is about 2/3 times a week so I'm not looking for huge numbers

I think it could be your rates, are they higher than the average?

Also I think  the most popular advertising platform is adultwork

My rate is 200/hr.

Please don't think I'm trying to brag or toot my own horn but im just trying to explain my situation clearly. I used to model. Not catwalk but lingerie. I'm decent looking, curvy size 12, pretty face which I don't show btw. I thought I would at least be able to get a few clients but it's like pulling teeth.

My rate is 200/hr.

I'm not saying it's right and obviously everyone is free to charge whatever they want but I'm thinking maybe some guys will think that's a lot to pay out on a newbie with no proven track record, via feedback or whatever especially in the present economic situation.
As Sparkly top said, as much as the AW veri process is a pain in the backside it does seem to be the main site that guys end up at.
Maybe price yourself closer to the majority in your area and see how that works?
Once you've got a few returning clients or more bookings then you could try increasing your rates and guage the situation then?

I thought 200 was quite fair but maybe you're right.
Thanks for the input!

I think £200 is fair and serious clients will pay that, It's the average now where I am based in Essex since covid. I only use AW and no face pics and I always get good clients who like to read a profile because mine is long. I get guy's wanting the more natural look and I stand out because I'm not the average Essex look, I'm very pale and plain. I can't be bothered with viva because it's a pain getting ad up if you word things wrong.

With prices I sometimes drop mine to get new clients through the door and then get a few new regulars who will happily pay my rates if I put them up.
