Nosey neighbours
« on: 20 July 2020, 08:15:31 am »
I know a lot of girls WFH and I have started doing incalls from my friend's home as I spend a lot of time there, it's more convenient and they don't mind at all. However, yesterday I saw a client that said he'd got out the car and one of the neighbours was watching him from his top window.

I told him to take no notice and my friend who owns the house couldn't care less about the neighbours. However it's making me concerned, especially if a client has mentioned it.

Am I worrying for nothing as it's not even my house to worry about and my friend doesn't care? I guess the neighbours don't really know what people are coming in for but I don't want it reflecting badly on me nor anyone else. Although I always think neighbours have nothing better to do if they are picking up on.comings and goings of other neighbour's homes. I would have no clue what mine are up to.

It's easy to assume everyone is looking, and I have had a client who was convinced everyone was looking at him when in truth they were just genuine passers by, in one instance just someone using a bench in a public area another someone in an area of let's say 'public interest' so people have reason to be there. He claimed he was concerned for me, took me a while and a few years with these incidents spread out to ask him was it him feeling guilty.

Anyhow neighbours will look, they will go about their daily routine or whatever.

If you have a lot of visitors all male that may raise suspicion, but I am guessing you are low volume? The other thing I ask is that people do not call my name when arriving or leaving, a few have shouted back 'thank you Mirror for a wonderful time'. But if they are quiet, and you are I would guess most people are not looking out for the local prossie.

Thanks Mirror

I would say I'm fairly low volume. Barely a handful a week.

I stay inside the house when they come and go as there's a porch, so clients wouldn't have the opportunity to call back to me at least. Maybe it was just by chance that the guy was watching in the window.

People are allowed to look out of their windows  :D, that's what I remind myself.

I once had a neighbour who's house was laid out so that when they performed a particular, routine, daily chore they looked right down at visitors - so it looked as if they were looking. Of course it was only by chance if a person was visiting that they might be doing this at exactly the same time.  One or two did ask me, but I knew the reason and that the person was likely day dreaming as I would be doing the same. Also I occasionally just stare out of the window, either into space or whatever.
