Nosey cleaners hanging around for ages
« on: 27 June 2023, 02:23:51 pm »
God I’m royally pissed today it’s been dead as a dodo lately and this morning I missed 2 solid genuine bookings cause the cleaner was hanging around half the morning cutting grass outside the small B and B I’m staying at and cleaning in the hall. I’m livid that I could’ve made money onky for her lingering around.

Anyway else experienced this? I always find a lot of the cleaners nosey too. They’re always nosing around. When I worked as a cleaner they definitely do talk a lot to each other which made me even more paranoid escorting from hotels.

This happens to me a fair bit, so I dress casually, says jeans and a t-shirt and warn the client beforehand to be discreet and to carry a tool bag or document case or something that makes them look as is they a :purpose' being there. As long as you leave the place clean they shouldn't care.

I get this at a regular flag I go to but I know know the day and time so I can work around it. TBH I'd not worry, Women do have men visit could be a guy from choir practice or your brother. As long as your not opening the door wide in sexy stuff then it's your business if you get a visitor.

We are all allowed visitors to our room. Even if you just took the 1. You could be having an old friend visit anything or extended family drop by to drop off food.

I think the issue is more ‘ the small B&B’ than anything else. I work in big hotels and the cleaners are always around. I just ignore them and assume they’ll be getting on with their job like I’m getting on with mine.

There are things to do to maximise discretion like clear directions and asking them not to knock the door.

I would honestly work from larger hotels where there’s a lot of traffic and clients become invisible.
