No shower?
« on: 27 April 2016, 03:39:45 pm »
Hi guys.

In the house i work from there is only a bath. Some clients ask me for a shower and the only thing ive been able to do at the moment is offer them a quick bath.

Do you think it would look cheap if i got one of those shower attachments to fit on the taps and ask them to shower like that?

Theres no place to hang it off due to the positioning off the bath though, but i dont want to fork out for a shower fitting as i have no plans to keep this house on when i quit escorting in 18 months time?

Thanks x

why dont you go on ebay and buy a shower mixer tap set  ( thats all attached )for about 30-50 ? that way it sits on top of the taps and they can hold it to shower and still have a good pressure and  it wont keep coming off the taps :)

I'm a bit mean and even though I have 2 bathrooms I get clients to use the main bathroom which doesn't have a shower (I save the en-suite with shower cubicle for me and the odd special client!)

The water pressure is very good in my flat and I bought a good attachment which goes on the taps - Croydex is the brand and they fit very securely and snugly onto the taps with a Velcro fastening which goes around the taps. I only rent my place so don't want to go to the time and expense and tiling the whole wall (it's only half tiled at the moment) so I didn't want to put a holder on the wall so they have to use it as a handheld one. Guys seem to manage fine - most just seem to want a quick freshen up and for this purpose it works just fine!

I always offer a bath instead of a shower and 'sell it' as a more relaxed, luxurious experience.  Have had no complaints whatsoever.   ;)

I think it depends on whether you're paying for the hot water!

If not, you could run one big hot bath each time for every client, for him to use before and after. If he's a normal nice guy with no hygiene issues you could also pop yourself in after each booking as well (before running a new hot bath for the next one).

It is more luxurious, and I think offers a better clean for clients as they are submerged!!

I think you could make the bath a selling point rather than buying a plastic shower attachment. Although you could maybe get one and keep it in the cupboard for any clients that absolutely insist maybe?

Been there done that when shower wasn't working. It would be a breaking point for me if a flat didn't have a shower. I would move on.  Too many problems IMO.

I think it would work like christineB said sell it as a relaxed experience. Most of my clients don't have a shower as they've had one before they come and are nice and clean. You may get the one's that turn their nose up at everything no matter what you say or do but then again you're only there for 18 months and then you don't need to worry about pleasing the difficult ones. xxx
Who is behind a great women? That's right. No one. She has to get there herself - I keep waiting to meet a man who has more balls than I do!

My worry with just a bath, especially if advertising as a relaxed experience is they would think they can take ages

showers are not that expensive to buy you can get one for about 60 quid or even cheaper second hand on ebay ... 18 months is a long time and worth the investment in my eyes

I agree. Get a shower. Punters will have doubts about your own hygiene otherwise

Yes they are cheap but if it's an electric or power shower it's the paying someone (plumber) to fit it which could mount up as well as the associated tiling etc...  I agree if there was no other shower in the property I would pay out and get one - not least for my own benefit!

However the OP said there's nowhere to hang/put one so don't even know if a conventional shower is even an option!

I have worked in a place with a shower attachment.
They didn't seem paricularly bothered however you do need to get something, not everyone would appreciate having to have a bath especially if they want to freshen up before and after? Pain in the ass really x

Yes plus if you get a stinker they would essentially be sitting in their own filth.
