Working in London Hotels
« on: 09 April 2008, 11:44:58 am »
Hi there,

I am new to the site and this forum (great site & forum by the way!), and would like to ask your advice.

I presently work with an agency & am based in Berkshire, but would like to increase my business, and so was thinking about working independently at least 1 day a week in London. To do this I thought of booking a hotel room for the day in the Paddington area, but am concerned that the hotel would discover what the room was for which could cause trouble for me or clients.

Can I ask if anyone else works in this way, and would have some useful tips on how I could go about doing it, or whether you think it's a a good idea?

Many thanks

Jo

Hi Jo,

In principle it's a good idea, lots of girls do it, myself included.

There's no reason to think that the hotel will cotton on to you. The hotels are exceptionally busy
and if you pick the right one, very large, so unless you have an orderly queue forming outside your
door you'll be fine.  :)

( please feel free to email me re hotels )

Just be aware :

A) It's saturated with WGs so a London tour requires a hell of a lot of advertising and hard work beforehand.

B) There have been a number of robberies and assaults there, so for goodness sake take the time to read
all of the warning boards and make sure you do your security checks.
