newbie: please advise?

Hi, I have just started. reason being, financial hardship as a single mom.
I work for a lady. she deals wif the advertising; arranges and pays for locations and brings in the clients. she is in constant contact at all times.
She takes 50% to cover her expenses.
Does this sound safe and positive to you ladies?
Should I be concerned about how she might react when I want to stop?
Is there any way of her finding out my true identity? she knows the city in which I live and my reasons for becoming an escort.
Having read all of the invaluable advice you offer, there is just one thing that scares the life out of me: the question of legality and if caught, could I lose my kids?

Hi Sue, welcome.
To be honest, 50% sounds a bit steep. If you were working in a parlour, that would be different. But she basically does what an agency does, and ime the % should only be around 30%. And what do you mean, "she pays for locations?" Does she book hotel rooms for you? Does she work on her own or with an agency? Apologies for the all the questions but I've never heard of a lady working on her own and sending an escort out to work.

Prostitution itself is legal in the UK. It's all the activities surrounding it itself that isn't. Soliciting on the streets, running a brothel, that kind of thing. You going to see a client (or him coming to see you for that matter) is not illegal, so you wouldn't have to worry about the legalities of it. The only way you would be seen as putting your children at risk is if you work from home, where they lived. My knowledge is rusty at the moment, and things do change, so I'm happy to be corrected.

Hi! and thank you! the lady, as far as i know, works alone. she has a few girls working for her. they all seem to regard her highly. She gets us safe/discreet locations and she pays the bill ( hotel/apartment ) out of the 50% she gets from our earnings. She sets up our profiles and adverts in preparation for us arriving. most of time we will work alone from hotel which she organizes.

I don't mind the 50% as i need the support and she certainly seems to be on top of things 24/7,  My only concern really is safety.

If she is providing the hotel then its like a parlour so 50% sounds better as a hotel would probably cost at least ?50 and you cant put a price on your own safety.  What is she charging per hour ?

Not necessarily. A parlour has more than one person working at a time so it's not really an accurate description. Agencies also provide a place for their escorts to take incalls, and they don't charge 50%. It depends on how well-run and established they are. But if Sue's happy enough working for her then I'm not going to argue. I just think there are other ways of working safely where you're not bilked for 50% of your earnings. I have an aversion to giving other people the money I've worked hard for, which is why I'm an indie.

To answer your other queries Sue, not knowing the lady myself, it's difficult to say how the lady would react if you wanted to leave. You know her best, how do you think she'd react? She might see you as easy money so she might not take too kindly to you leaving when the time comes. But then again, you may be easily replaced, I don't know.
And if she only knows the city where you work, I wouldn't worry too much about her finding out. As long as you haven't given too much of yourself away.

I have obsorbed all the info both yourself and Lucymay have offered.

Subsequently, I am now going to consider other options regarding how I will pursue further escorting.

This forum has helped a geat deal...invaluable in fact!
