Insecure Clients

How do you deal with them? :FF

I often find them to be needy and passive aggressive when they're insecure.

Seen one man a couple of times ... 3 at the most.

He's okay, but not someone I look forward to seeing in particular. He pushes boundaries slightly, so the one time he text me late afternoon asking for a booking later on in the evening, I didn't respond. I was just about to go out anyway.

A month passes and I get a random text from him again that said have I fallen out with him to which I replied if I'm not working then I won't text back because ... I'm not working. I'm not available all the time  ::) ::)  ::)

99% of men understand this and will text or call again and if I don't answer they'll presume I'm busy or you guessed it ... not working! They understand I have a life outside of this.

That text really pissed me off. So passive aggressive!

I don't want to see him again now. How ridiculous to send that text.

Just wonder do you get annoyed at these inane texts.

Yep

Some of them think they are the centre of the world.

I have definitely received similar messages. They think we've fallen out, whereas I haven't given them a second thought outside of our actual appointment.

Yes I have some who I have to reassure if I can't see them at short notice, one in particular can only ever book same day, and contacts me perhaps twice a week every week. Of course the days when I have same day availability aren't the days he contacts me. Anyway to get to the point he would ask for reassurance that it is ok to ask. A couple of years ago I was on the way back from a family funeral, and because there was a delay with one of my replies he seemed to think this was code for 'I don't want you to contact me.

It's ridiculous, isn't it?

I think it's so petty and childish myself.

I think this client knows he pushes boundaries and therefore thinks I don't want to see him anymore.

He's right after this!

I work from home, so have to be very, very careful who I see anyway. I can't have them just randomly turn up!

Just block them, they are draining and in my experience never change.
I've had a few like this. One endlessly enquired about bookings at a particular time then when I confirmed said he'd get back to me nearer the time!? No mate that's not how it works. After years of his messing around I blocked  him and definitely don't miss him.
I have others who send silly messages between bookings maybe hoping to get into some sort of texting dialogue... I ignore, my time is paid for, it isn't a dating site and the sooner you make this clear to them the easier your work life will become.

I have some like that, I'm usually very rude because one thing I don't do is spoil clueless men, and they always come back. I ignore and don't take it personally, they are needy people and they think we are their emotional slaves. One in particular is always passive - aggressive when I can't see him and sends me several messages and then deletes and apologises. The best thing to do is to treat them like angry children that they are. Is pathetic ::)

Love this.

I used to be sentimental in my past; now I just block if anything irritates me.

Emotionally stunted men?        BLOCK
Ask too many questions?          BLOCK
Didn't read my profile?              BLOCK
Ask for a service I don't offer?   BLOCK

Life is far too short to be messing around with timewasters and idiots.  I put my energy into looking at getting other clients or doing self - care.
