Hi, I went independent straight away when I gave up my professional career 11 years ago.

I must admit, it never crossed my mind to do anything but work independently as there was no way I was giving my money to a third party agency (pimp).

As for safety, I think it’s fair to say that it’s no safer going with an agency as they do not screen clients and parlours are the same (although with parlours you are at least on the premises so it might be safer in that regard).

Nothing is safer than taking calls yourself and deciding if you want to take the booking. I think it must be pretty awful to have to put up with clients who an agency just send your way.

You must weigh up the pros and cons and absolutely do what suits you though.

Do you worry independent working will make you more vulnerable?

My thoughts exactly.  Agency/Parlour don't seem to screen clients very well.Probably having buddy for safety and getting good at marketing works better .

I went indie straight away - being a bigger girl I honestly thought I wouldn’t get much interest so didn’t think an agency would bother with me (get plenty of interest from clients, but think I was right about an agency not taking me on!)

I do well, I have regulars, I do tours - biggest obstacle was finding a local place to host incalls but after a few months I was lucky enough to find somewhere

I don't think you're safer with a pimp or parlour at all. From my experience they will deliberately put you in bad situations. For me its not safe emotionally and mentally. Even when it starts okay it'll always go bad because those are people who use people for profit. They are users and you're just a body to them. I'm independent now. So much better. I get to decide everything.

I've worked in parlours with very mixed experiences. Some were great - just great experiences with the girls - and such an education - even if I never earned any money! The women you work with make a difference.

And I've worked in some that have been like watching paint dry.

I earned much more money indie  but parlours offer different advantages.

Be wary of any place where there is a MALE overload constantly present telling you what you need to do. Be wary of any that take a customer is always right attitude. Not, all of them are like that.

I started in a parkour.

Companionship - OK

Tedious waiting for clients

Other times once 5 back to back in 2 hours - hard work

As others have said, easier to screen your own clients

Like the others have said, parlours literally depend on the people there. Working in them suits me but I've had good and bad.
