I'm a newbie and looking for any advice that's not covered in the main page.

TBH I'm a bit worried that I'm too old to start (29). Can anyone allay my fears? (I'm not some prude or anything, just always been interested in escorting, but I've been a boyfriend addict till now (to my detriment) and now I'm planning to steer well clear of them and thought if I wanted to give this a go I better hurry or I WOULD be too old.

Hi Annalise, I'm a newbie too.  I'm a couple of years older than you.  From what I can tell, there doesn't really seem to be any upper age limit, as it were - it seems that no matter what your age etc., there will always be someone who is looking for someone just like you!  (Here's hoping that there's more than one, though, or I mean that'd be a total let-down  )

but re the dreadlocks, its part of you, so dont hide it, if anything exploit it, as part of your marketing, its unusual, so who can say if its a problem or not

if you do go the wig route, make sure its secure, when i retire ill tell you the story of what happend to me once when mine wasnt  dont think he ever got over it

I usualy tend to wear a wig when its going through the cant do anything with it scarecrow phase, you do raise a good point about been recognised by your hair, so its one to think on, unless you can do some creative photography that leaves the hair out all together, not my department, so i dont know

Agencies usually charge 30%. The one I worked for briefly was less (about 13% when I worked it out!)

If you use a driver (IMO essential for home visits) the agency may send him but you'll have to pay his fee separately, so find out what he charges.

The client will pay you the full fee (in cash, no cheques), then you give the agency their percentage. Some agencies allow clients to pay by credit card and send you the money later, but don't accept that kind of arrangement until you've done a few jobs and feel that you can trust the agency, as a lot of scams work that way.

As for the hair, maybe you could make it look different enough with a creative do or a hat? Or only do headless shots, that's not uncommon so shouldn't be a problem.
