Has anyone worked worked privately here for a prolonged period of time? I was doing some reading and just found out  about their immigration law in relation to foreign sex workers x

New Zealand is much more hostile towards foreign sex workers than for example Australia. Basically, unless you at least have residency, if you work they will find you and deport you. They are very active in doing this, so you cannot advertise anywhere undetected for long. Even for foreign residents in NZ if you are suspected of being involved in management - they don't have to prove it conclusively - your residency will be cancelled. In practice only NZ citzens are allowed to participate.

I worked in NZ in 2016/17 in both Brothels and independent and found it was the complete opposite as described above. As in nowhere(brothels or strip clubs) cared or ask about immigration status. The main independent site didn't care. Police didn't care. Obviously this may have changed since then. The only problem I had was it was not possible to send money home via western union without being a resident. I had a working holiday visa but that excludes sex work.
