Hey girlies,

I went home for bereavement purposes (live in UK though) but probably will stay for 2 months and try to see a few people. Anyone worked over here before? I can see that AW is non existent and I definitely won't be going for an agency but thought I would ask on here while I research!

Great! I don't plan to work more than 3 days out of the 60 in Auckland - I just would love to make enough so I don't have to dip in my savings!

Do they work independently? Any tips?

Yes they do and it's more lucrative on the North Island then the South (I am South when I go back) I don't know what advertising platforms they started out on though x.

Say hello to the NZPC / Aotearoa New Zealand Sex Workers' Collective primarily based in Wellington, but with half a dozen branches elsewhere, including Auckland - they'll know.

It's regulated in NZ - presumably you're a citizen or the right sort of permanent resident, otherwise it's illegal and very unpopular with their immigration officials. OWO is also illegal if money is involved.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Oh yes I should have said about the working visa, I forgot, you cannot just work if only on a holiday visa, tbh if I were you I would try and get one and stay longer and then work as it will be warming up soon and a beautiful place to stay, also like I said the ladies I know who do live and work in New Zealand do very well indy  :).

It's not even 'can't do this on a holiday visa' - it's 'can't do this without a permanent visa'. (And unless you're an actual citizen, you can't own or invest in a prostitution business.)

In NZ, the definition of a brothel is "any premises kept or habitually used for the purposes of prostitution", so a single person incall location counts as one. Although anywhere with fewer than five workers doesn't have an "operator" if they retain control over their earnings, there are still rules you need to follow.

Quoting from their site; "NZPC supports all sex workers, whatever their age, gender, or immigration status. We are not here to report you, we are here to help you stay safe"
