You are doing nothing illegal, I would continue to work, only when they are out or when it gets dark and they cant see what's going until you get more of an idea what their like, winter is coming and it's getting darker earlier and earlier so plenty of opportunity to work.  Do they go to work at set times? do they have a routine, that would make it easier to plan.

As for the council caring if you work from home, in my case they don't care, very few do, even if you are dobbed in and someone calls them, god knows in my area (home counties) we have had people operating noisy blatant businesses on their front drives, noisy welding, fixing cars, regular massage businesses, Nail techs none of them registered with the council  (I know some of the people who operate them), and even then a blind eye is turned.  They have so much on their plate at the moment, I doubt either the police or the council would bother, unless you had lots of complaints from different people.

Thanks, I'm going to take a couple of weeks off, to let things cool off with them. I tend to finish around an hour after they get back from work i think, so i could start finishing earlier.

Hi and I had similar when my old neighbours moved out and I got new ones who watched my home and acted hostile. And I have really high Hedges but I just did not feel comfortable and made bookings at home anxious for me. Unfortunately once neighbours suspect then they do seem to have a problem sadly( Wish they would get a life and fight real crime) even if you are not causing any problems except having men walk through your gate and door you Definitely don't want to cause them any reason to esculate. They can't prove anything but they can make visitors feel uncomfortable if they do decide to stand around and deliberately watch visitors, Can spook them off.

It's a pain as I know and now have to pay for working accommodation and travel, Having to pack all my bits for bookings and arrange care for my pets.

These are the kind of people sitting on their high horses and what they think is not acceptable in society especially married couples with one feeling threatened and I don't think it's something that will change.

Can you for a bit book hotels or accommodation and when not just do after dark bookings and get clients to park down the road. It's about not having a pattern at home so they might get bored keep trying to see guys turning up if they don't know your routine.

Update. Had a visit from community officer today. They were called by neighbour, so had to pop round, but did say they would talk to them as i am doing nothing wrong. Hoping that sorts it.

That’s really good!
Hopefully they will back off now.

Good to hear, I hope things calm down for you. Did they ask you questions about your work?

All they asked is if i had aany other girls working from my home and asked to look around. They said all was fine, as was very clear I was living there.

I can't believe these people went as far as getting community support officer to visit you! Too much time on their hands!

Where abouts are you based (if you don't mind me asking)?

They are completely out of order here. For all they know you could be doing any line of work. It's none of their business at all. If it continues I would have them done for harassment, you shouldn't have to live like this!!

They came to my friends flat last week she was working in Kent so yes it can happen to anyone and anywhere. Seems like instead of police visiting working girls when neighbours complain they send the community officers instead.

Another update: neighbour came and knocked on my door. Started shouting at me and going on that they didn't report anything blah blah blah. I never accused them in the first place and politely explained that I don't mind either way as I am doing nothing wrong. I also explained what a brothel actually is and how i am not running one. They seemed to calm down after that, so hoping that's the last of it.

Gosh! Hope you filmed that.
Sounds like possible Breach of The peace.
More of that knocking on your door being abusive and you may be entitled to seek a few things like Harassment Warning, Restraining Orders or Injunction.

I'd be reporting this to your officer today so he can keep your notes up to date and inform you of your rights.
They sound way too pushy even though they've been warned off.
