Applied for a ffrees card last night using my working name but real address, signed up online and did what fluffy bunny suggested, say nope to passport/ Id ect and application went through ..hurray!!

But then I received this email this morning:

Thanks for applying for a Ffrees Account! We?re eager to get you up and running with a Ffrees Card, but we need a bit more information before we can do that.

Please pick one original item from List A and a copied version of an item from List B. Don?t worry if you don?t have anything from List B, just send two original items from List A. Please note that the List A items can?t be older than 3 months, or printed from the internet.

List A ? please pick one item that?s been valid for at least 3 months:

Council tax bill (current financial year)
Home telephone bill
Electricity or gas bill
Bank statement
DWP correspondence (benefits entitlement letter)
Written confirmation of electoral roll registration

List B ? please pick one item that is valid and not expired
UK driving licence
Passport photo page
National identity card
Please send these documents to us

The main reason I wanted a pre paid credit card in the first place was to pay for my website unanimously. Nominet, the ones who run the UK domain family  introduced their data quality policy in May 015 and will suspend your website unless you provide them with ID and proof of address . It is now a legal requirement!! which is such a pain in the god damn arse, I would actually say yay to being sodomized by a Shetland-pony for a week in exchange for eternal anonymity. Unless I'm being a bimbotic drama queen and there is in fact an answer??

No idea why but I ahve not had any problems whatsoever.  You could try cashplus and tuxedo they are also cards I have used in the past.

They have a variety of card options available, I have the diamond package.

Thanks fluffy bunny for the info  :) I'll have a butchers at the options you mentioned and let you know how it goes

Seems like the world especially since 2014 is turning ever more into Big Brother. It's not just the issue with  Pre-paid cards but other companies/organizations such as Nominet that demand  more and more personal data. My other websites that have nothing to do with adult entertainment/work were suspended and without warning. So feeling a tad stressed. Grrrrrrr   :FF

I was thinking of getting one of these type of card to book hotels in a false name but get the room at the cheaper advance rate, if there's no money on it they'll cancel the booking right?

Depends. If you go through a third party like booking .com then your normally ok
but it depends on the hotel policy
On occasion I getva email saying your booking will be cancelled but I think it's only happenend once

Ive booked pre paid rates because they are really good and when ive turnt up they just say we had a problem with your card and I just hand them my other  one
I never put money on mine and I have several that I use

Just wondering if you bought a pre paid credit card and gave a different name could that work for any of the ladies who have been barred from using certain hotels. I have one and register in a hotel in my work name all the time, obviously not curvywench, but I use another name way  different to my own. And that's the name clients and hotels get, say book in under Paula Smyth. Give the prepaid cc that Paula Smyth has decided to use and away you go

In Ireland you just buy the pre paid Mastercards in a newsagents under a tenner in price, no ID required, and they come with cvv code and exp date and long number. They are accepted online and in hotels, so I just call and say Mrs Paula Smyth, give the booking details and the card details and away I go.  PS as you only have to register them if you put over 5k on the card, then once it hits 4,500 euros, just ditch the card and get a new one..

I just went on to the idt prime website and read this????

Registration
Do I need to Register my card?

Yes, you do need to register your card before you use it. Please go to www.idtprime.com/register and follow the instructions. We will request you the following information.

back of the card
Pack Number
Your Full Name
UK Mobile Number
Your UK Residential Address
Date of Birth
Country of Residence
Once you have completed the form successfully you will receive a registration code on your registered mobile number. Please enter the SMS code on the next page and your card will be registered and ready to use.

So does this mean even if you top up with ?20 you still have to register it the first time you use it?

Might depend on the individual card/company.

I can not praise Ffrees enough, never had a problem (touch wood) I have the simplest of their cards, you can load upto ?10 000 a day, they charge ?10 a month in Administration and do not charge for cash withdrawals. Quick and easy transfers i.e for on the day transfer you pay ?10 and next day it is only ?2, so many benefits to it.  I did not need to register with ID for this, so first look before ordering one, I think I got the first one.  Also Cashplus is very very good and if you decide to use your ID you can get the one with an unlimited balance and withdrawal.

But remember ladies you can always order additional cards in an alternate name without providing ID.

Fluffy Bunny, did you register under your real name or another name? Also, they now have a section regarding Id?

I order a Pockit card, first I had to order it in my real name, then  you the main card  can fill in a online form for a card in another name that
pick and manage.
