Another Tax Question
« on: 27 September 2015, 12:42:42 pm »
For someone who is absolutely hopeless at Maths, how do I calculate how much I need to put away for tax?

Say roughly on average is it ?25 out of every ?100?

About that.

There is a calculator in hmrc website for tax and ni estimates might be helpful.

Thank you :) I put 25 cos I didn't think it would be any more than 30.

Best to put away third then anything left is a bonus. Thinking of putting it away in premium bonds instead.
I'm glad I got all the Cynthia Payne books before the prices rocked to sky high.

25% should be ample to cover tax and NI.
