The Beppy sponge or Sea Pearl sponge..
« on: 06 June 2011, 10:13:34 am »
Hello all! Hope we're all well today :-)

I am very new to the business, just starting out, but i like to do my research and have worked my way through the Saafe site (which is so helpful!!). I have come across the Beppy sponge and Sea Pearl sponge that some people have mentioned but i can't seem to find anywhere to buy them other than online. Sorry to bring up an old thread as i have seen others posting the same question but it doesn't seem anyone's gotten to the bottom of it yet, so ladies, wondering if anyone has seen them anywhere to purchase? Or does everyone just get them online?

Hope everyone is well

x

I don't think anyone's mentioned seeing Beppys in a physical shop. Sea Pearls are also mostly available online, but some healthfood/hippy shops probably have them.

I got the Beppys online from Netherlands and used them while with clients and they worked fine. Was surprised when I got them to see that they seem to be made of ordinary sponge... Also the instructions say they're for single use, but I have washed and reused them without any problems.

Washing them might make them more likely to shed fibres inside your vaginal canal, which is quite dangerous, and might be why it's not recommended.

I love the beppys and have been using them instead of tampons for years.  I also comfortably shag with them in and blokes are none the wiser.  I do retrieve them asap ( with a bit of difficulty sometimes but usually sitting in a hot bath helps) after though and wouldnt wash and re-use them for hygiene reasons.
I get them from stressnomore.co.uk

I tried sea pearl sponges last week but I haven't found them a roaring success so far  :( I bought the regular size ones but, to be blunt, they were far too big. I had to cut them in half before they would fit (argh too much sharing) and I don't think I would recommend them for the heaviest days of your period to be honest. That's just what I have found though, other ladies may love them :). It also says on the packaging that you shouldn't really cut them so I think I might have boobed there.

I have never tried the beppys but might give them a go, people seem to like them! I've never seen either Beppys or Sea Pearls for sale in shops, only ever on line.

I purchased the sea pearls online today but bought the teeny as well as a regular as they seemed more cost effective than the beppys, but the beppys do seem to be more popular. Well, we'll see how they go when they arrive i suppose  :-\
Will keep you informed!

Working girls can buy sponges (and a whole bunch of other goodies like wholesale condom boxes) at CLASH in Picadilly. I stop by sometimes for a Sexual Health checkup and buy loads in Bulk.

I bought the Sea Pearls, i bought a teeny and a regular as i have the coil and i'm only spotting. I tried the teeny one first and it managed to get so high that i couldn't get it out again! I tried the hot bath and spent over an hour in there attempting this but had to bite the embarrassment bullet and go to the doctors for assistance. I still have the regular which is twice the size so i'm hoping that one won't be able to work its way quite so high up!  :-[

I paid a visit to a walk-in clinic (great place to spend a Saturday couple of hours) to have my Beppy removed. It was up by my cervix. Anyone interested in buying the unopened box? I bought two of them and I don't think I'll be using them. again...
