My ugly figure causing crisis of confidence
« on: 18 March 2023, 02:53:13 pm »
I am peri-menopausal and I have gained weight in what I would describe as an apple shape. I have other health conditions that make losing weight extremely difficult. A lot of larger women have fantastic figures but mine is just out of proportion with lumps in the wrong places.

It is affecting my ability to work as I feel I look awful despite having a decent face.

I have looked into fixing this but I need the money through working.

Can anybody please help me with a different perspectives or tips on how to hide my figure or any advice at all would be welcome on what I can do in the here and now.. I need to get out of this funk as I need to earn?

My time to shine!

I don't think there's anything wrong with you at all. Nobody is extra specially more unattractive than anyone else. You don't have lumps where other big women have curves.
You don't see yourself the way others see you, or the way you see others.
I'm a size 20, big stomach which flops down, big ass and boobs. Massive arms and shoulders. Thick thighs. Men who come to see me love my body, love my sensuality, love my smile.
They're mostly just happy to be with an enthusiastic naked woman. Perfection is far from present in my sex work, but I do fine.

Sometimes I think it's harder for conventionally attractive women as there's the pressure of a beauty standard to meet and be judged on. I know that's not me so I don't even try.
Most of the time I don't wear makeup.
I don't let it all hang out in pictures, true. I probably present as size 16/18 in pics, but specify 18+ and I have only ever had great feedback.

I'm not actually hugely confident in real life but in this job I have faked it until I made it, and eventually wholeheartedly become it.
So fake your confidence, like we're all used to doing with orgasms and boring conversations.
And maybe make sure your pics and descriptions aren't trying to pretend that your body is completely different to how it really is, so that way you know that anyone who has booked to come and see you already knows your figure shape.

I hope some of this is helpful. X

Really helpful - thank you so much! You did indeed shine for me!
Definitely cheered me up.

My photos don’t really show my stomach as it looks in real life! I’m lucky they turned out ok and had something flattering on.

I’m not sure what to put in my advertising to give realistic expectations without denigrating myself though. Any suggestions.

Post about the things you do like about yourself. I found doing webcam that men were actually huge fans of all my wobbly bits! I have never liked my tummy but I’d consistently be told I had a lovely soft looking tum so I mention I have a lovely big bum, a soft tummy and big boobs to play with in my ad. Don’t put yourself down whatever the voice inside you is telling you.

Wear what makes you feel good, I dislike the top of the inside of my thighs so I wear suspender tights that let me cover that up and if they have a nice detailed or thick band for round my tummy, I feel great - I find they suit me better than wearing an actual suspender belt as it’s a little less restrictive. I’ve recently looked on Shein at their plus sized lingerie and got some really nice, cheap work things - I’m going to use them for new photos this week.

I think actually cam was a fantastic boost to my confidence because it made me realise more than escorting which I only do part time now that men like women of all shapes and sizes, sure they all have different preferences but there’s absolutely someone for everyone. Xx

Well the first thing that comes to mind is your regal username. Maybe it's time to upgrade to Queen. Then you can use words like majestic. Ha.
You've got to hint at it. Curvaceous. Glorious. Full figure.

Find other bbw profiles and see how they describe themselves.

I use lots of sensual words to describe how my body moves. Like jiggle. Or thick.

Don't express a hint of shame or excuses, it's completely off putting.

I do needed this!

Just looked the suspended tights - absolutely love them and I also hate suspenders.

Also thank you for the suggestions on how to describe myself, I just want to attract people who like my look and that is a great way to do it.

Snag do great suspender tights but the you can easily pick up some nice plus sized ones off Amazon too - I’m yet to find anywhere else. I also flipping love fishnets and they’re cheap enough that I tell folk if they want to rip them open to ravage me to crack on!

Another thing I find helpful is not taking dress requests, I find what I might feel great in one day, makes me feel like a squashed sausage the next sometimes due to hormonal changes/water retention so I just say I don’t take them but I will always make an effort with my appearance.

I’m also picking up tips here, love your suggestions with language Cgiw

In the 7 years I've been doing this I've been between a size 10 to a size 18 and I've actually found I'm busier and have more regulars at my larger size. I've been confident in my body for most of that time, but at the times I was smaller I was actually quite ill, so feel and look a lot better now at a small 16.

CGIW and Rosie had some great tips about language in your advertising and your photos. I make sure my username on all my ads includes a reference to my shape.

Another thing I'd suggest is to surround yourself with images of women who look like you. Subscribe to body-positive feeds on social media, follow other BBW sex workers. It's very easy for our eyes to become accustomed to only seeing beauty in the standard size the media serves us as a representation of female beauty. We have to re-train ourselves to see the beauty in all different shapes and sizes (and ages, skin colours, visible disabilities etc.)

I also make a point of choosing, if I can, to support businesses which use models who are diverse in looks. For example Rihanna's line of lingerie, Savage X Fenty - they use models who are every size, every race, models with missing limbs, alopecia, etc.

Wear things that you feel confident in and embrace your curves. The clients you want to find will find you - you are their ideal. Don't hide your curves, just advertise honestly and openly.

I know this is easier said than done, but you just need to work it!

I've escorted at sizes 26+, sometimes maybe touching a 32 at my biggest, and am definitely an apple, with a huge belly and proportionately small bust and bum (plus short legs). Add in the gravitational effects of being around/past 50.

Yet plenty of men thought I was the best thing since sliced bread, and surprisingly few in a creepy/fetishistic way. I think if you provide a good service, from a decent location, and are warm and welcoming that goes a long way, too.

Confidence is sexy, so my advice is don't try and hide anything.

Love all of this. Especially the last three paragraphs.

any shape is sexy, however i suggest you to consult a nutritionist. it is a challenge as everything else loosing weight being in menopausa or whatever age is still possible and you will feel better also if you follow some guidance becuase your hormones need some nutrients.
just add that. nothing wrong to hold some fat, celulite etc or being lean.

i would encourage to change your mindset around menopausa also. in any stage of the life is a challenge to lose fat and if you want to you can in menopause also. i think than more the apparence at that stage you need a "special" custom made diet.
