I have an American client who sent me $100 for a video call. Nat west refused to process the payment unless I could give his full name date of birth and address. This was into a business account. I don’t understand why they are not accepting international payments.

I have now opened a wise business account where people can send money in dollars I will see how this goes. But I’m not finding it easy at all.

He was nice about it and sent an Amazon card but I don’t want those I want the cash.  :FF

New regulations about changes to authorised push payment scam claims are going to make it easier for people to claim a bank transfer was a scam.

Do you think this will increase the number of clients trying to claim chargebacks?

Potentially, but they would have to prove they didn't receive the service. A client of mine was recently scammed by a sex worker (he sent the money via bank transfer and she claimed she didn't receive it) and the process for recovering the money wasn't straight forward. He had to show all text message exchanges with the girl and where she text him claiming she didn't get the money, so wasn't going to provide the service. It also had to be reported to the police, via the bank. I feel scammers wouldn't want the police getting involved!

To protect yourself, you can accept bookings via adultwork and use them as proof the person booked a service and any aw feedback they leave. Only issue is that the bank may opt to have you close down the account due to being a sex worker, so a better way is to get the person to mark the payment as a gift.

Just had a client file a case with PayPal saying he didn't receive the goods. Then on the app it says that your sender says someone made this transaction without their permission. They want me to provide proof of posting!
A timely reminder for me not to ask for too much as a deposit. He wanted to pay the whole lot, so pleased I said no!

Yeah, never use paypal. Not only does it share your information, they will often close down your account if they suspect you're a sex worker or receive too many payments. They'll often put your money on hold too. Even when people pay 'friends and family' they can file a chargeback.

So many potential clients ask to use PayPal, this has reduced since I say 'bank transfer only' but I am still asked at least a couple of times each week.

This. PayPal have now banned me from having an account with them, because it was used for sex work. I also had a tonne of guys seeking to reverse payments when I was using it  :-\

I have now decided to start asking for deposits for incalls too. I've had a monumental amount of timewasters recently, and it has really p*ssed me off. I used to only ask for them for outcalls, but the last week has been a joke.
