Hi all!
So I just went live on various adult escorting websites that I saw recommended on these forums.
Now I am probably just being overly paranoid over nothing, but I received my first text message from a potential client.
The exchange went as follows:
Him: hi
Me: Hello, how can I help you?
Him: just replying to your ad. I am mark by the way.
Me: Nice to speak with Mark, I am Mia. When would you like to arrange a meeting? Would this be for a hotel outcall?
Him: Hotel
Me: Where are you based? When would you like to arrange this meeting?
Him: I'm not far from you. Soon. Just to let you know I am in the Police.
I know I am probably reacting at nothing, but soon as he said the word police I felt a bit weird. Even though I know I am doing nothing illegal it just made me feel uncomfortable.
What are your guys thoughts :/ :-[

He is a timewaster/fantasist. Just block
-
He has no reason to say he is in the police.
Only reason I can think of is to start a lot of chat.
You could make a booking if he does not want to text or talk too much but I cant see him being genuine.
-
The amount of people who are apparently police, want to waste time texting and never book is unbelievable. If he carries on texting, just ask him to give you a call when he wants a booking and leave it at that.
-
Time Waster. It's very rare they mention their jobs, and to mention being a police officer is designed to put you on edge as not all WG realise the legalities of the job.
-
Timewaster and/or fantastist, who doesn't realise that while your job is legal, him impersonating a police officer is not!
-
That would have been a rather offputting start for you. I am sure the next enquiry will be much nicer.
-
I feel he is a TW and has no intention of booking as any police officer knows that you are doing nothing illegal. My reply would probably be that it is good he has a working knowledge of the law so he knows that I am doing nothing illegal and that should make him more comfortable in a booking that I am sure he will be making in his next message.
Then if he messages again just send a reply that sounds like a auto-reply something like "please ring me to arrange a booking I do not take bookings unless I have spoken to you" or "in your message please make sure you have given me the date, time, duration and location for any meet as I only reply to messages with those details"
I would not meet this guy but if he has messaged you on AW the site does expect you to reply or the client can report you which is a pain
-
I'd ignore the comment and just carry on with taking the booking.
-
Local pimp playing with you :FF
-
i would have calmly continued the conversation like this:
Me: So why are you mentioning you're in the police hun?
- Wait for answer. see what bullshyte he comes up with-
(The reason I say this is because any real police officer who calls you for a booking the last thing he wants is for you to find out his occupation. He can loose his job. They defo would never say that over the phone to a stranger. Me thinks the poor looser who called you just wanted to impress or intimidate you (bad sign), i would decline this booking. It's very possible too he's a timewaster)

Interesting reply comments here and mine is simple.
Block and ignore. I have never had a potential client state his profession in an initial message and not even on a phone call. It may happen during the booking and that's fine. Some men have a fantasy of being in uniform and it can be police, army, fireman etc. They think it impresses us. Not me.
Yes asking why he mentions being in the police may produce an interesting response but even so I would refuse the booking (which was probably never genuine anyway).
-
Ignore and save number as a time waster. Also never bother replying to txts that just say ‘hi’ and little else or something similar. Genuine clients will at least open with a sentence ‘hi interested in booking today’ at the very least.

This. He would have lost me at "Hi" >:(

Thank you for all your replies!
Yes I replied by saying - when you would like to confirm a booking, get back in touch.
He never replied.
Now I have experienced my first time waster - I will know for next time x
-
If anyone sends me a stupid message just saying 'Hi', I ignore them.
I replied to one of these idiots once just to see what the outcome was and I now will never, ever again.

Exactly. Sometimes I’ve played around with them when bored but they are generally just looking for free kicks with zero intention of booking
-
Am I missing something with the 'Hi'?
I've had loads of emails/text start with Hi and they have been genuine. It's just a greeting like a hello or even hiya.

It's when the entire text consists of "Hi"
If I'm bored I respond "Lo" to these.
Then they send "?"
I respond "!"
Then I block!

I have one guy who regularly texts ‘hi’ or ‘how are you’ and I mean regularly.... I can be quite a harsh one sometimes in my screening and sometimes i ( often foolishly) let my guard down and engage if bored or trying to give them the benefit of the doubt for a booking.
So with this particular ‘hi’ guy I simply text back ‘hi there.... are you looking for a booking?’
He didn’t respond so clearly wasn’t looking to book just wanted some comms with an escort.
He still texts ‘hi’.......And is a blatant timewaster.
I think it’s preferable if they at least introduce themselves and get to the point. I find the ones who drag things out over text are a waste of time

Having read this properly I wouldn't have gotten past the first "Hi", if you are this helpful with everyone you are going to have your time wasted a lot.
-
Ah, so they are literally just sending hi. That makes sense now.
I was thinking they were sending hi, whatever crap they post. And then send.

Yeah, "Hi my name is Bob, I'm hoping to book you at 3pm for an hour GFE" = totally fine
"Hi" = timewaster

If I'm bored I respond "Lo" to these
Lol ;D
-
I've had this exact encounter recently, I said "that's fine babe I'm not doing anything illegal so why would I mind?"
What city is it and can you post the number (last two digits replaced by **) ? So we know if its the same timewaster. Thanks x

No, this isn't the warnings section and we don't post numbers here. If you want to compare notes please use the PM system :).
