Moving into brothel work? (in Scotland)
« on: 29 May 2012, 02:15:00 pm »
Hello everybody.

I've been an indie for about two years, and I sort of feel like I'd like to try a different way of working, especially as the things I don't like about escorting (answering emails, no colleagues) are presumably the sort of things I would change through brothel work (no emails! More colleagues!). Plus, I figure if I hate brothel work, I can always move back into indie-ness. Does all this reasoning make sense? I'd be really interested to hear from people who've made a similar transition, or ever worked in a brothel, because I don't really know what to expect. So absolutely any advice or thoughts are welcome.

Oh, and, I'm in Glasgow, but I was thinking of trying to get brothel work in Edinburgh. If anyone can recommend any workplaces in either city, I'd be dead grateful.

Cheers all. C xxxx

I've not worked in Scotland. But I've worked all over the UK. Obviously the way the cut goes always varies. But working with other girls doesn't. The same as any work environment, some are nice, some aren't. Some are just complete nutters. Smile and nod is the easiest way to deal with them lol.
Watch your valuables and keep your money on you at all times. Theft is pretty common in parlours. Even if the boss tells you to leave your phone in the girls room I'd take it in with you and switch it off. xxx

I'm in Scotland but don't know of any parlours that polis havent closed down .............. there MUST be some - I just don't know where they are, sorry.

The police have been going from Glasgow > Edinburgh > Aberdeen > Inverness > Glasgow > Edinburgh ..............................................
causing a nuisance and arresting femmes left right and centre then come their day in court the case is dropped with femmes having spent 6 months + worrying themselves silly re what is going to happen to them.  :( >:( :FF
Beauty is nothing to do with having a pretty face.
It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart,
And most importantly a beautiful soul.

Sorry to put a damper on things but I think the worst thing you could do in Scotland right now is to work in a brothel/parlour.  As LadyL says the police are all over anyone deemed to be working together/in a brothel/parlour.  Even single girls are being targetted.  And the proposed law changes here could make it even worse for all WGs in Scotland.

I'd say the safest bet at the moment is to stay indie.

The police are now going after the Edinburgh licensed saunas that everyone, including the council, knows are brothels?

Given that long history of tolerance, I hope someone's going to court to stop this.

Your better off as an indi or working for an agency right now (if you can find a good agency) than to go into brothel etc

I'd like to know more about this too - I have friends in Edinburgh (one of whom lives practically next door to one of the saunas) and as far as I knew it was business as usual. It certainly was when I was there at the beginning of April; I did hear of one of the saunas getting raided recently but it was to do with drugs, I think.

On the whole I agree with what everybody else has said - if you want to work with others, Scotland probably isn't the best place to do it, and the forecast isn't getting any rosier.
