Next best tax option

Dear all

Ok I have put up a topic before now regarding Tax (Thanks for all the help :) )

But since then I feel being up front with the tax man & registering ones self as an Escort, will in the future cause me problems (mainly in housing). So I have decided to start again under a new business. So basically I would like to know what is the next best thing to put your self down as. I know what some of my choices are, so I'm not asking that, just what do you do & how does it work for you, regarding claims etc.

Hope you don't mind me asking or sharing, Harlow xxx

I say I'm a therapist and I claim for things like makeup, scented candles, a few work clothes (not lingerie), bath and shower products, massage oil etc.
I don't claim for condoms, sex toys or lingerie.oh and I also claim for fake tan and hair products and things like body lotions.

I have an accountant and he told me I could get away with claiming all of those things.

My friend is registered as a sex therapist and she claims for her lingerie and toys etc. She said that she does things like the ann summer parties at peoples houses and needs all of that stuff.

Another friend is registered as an aromatherapist and she claims for some work clothes, candles, massage oil and beauty products.

You could also claim for petrol etc if you say that you are mobile therapist as you have to travel to clients.
And you could say sometimes clients come to yours for massages etc so you could claim for some of your bills at home

Hope this helps

It really does depend on what you need to claim back. As James and Laura pointed out, don't be too imaginative!
