Do you have home security in place, might be worth considering if you do not. By this I mean alarms, good locks etc.

Maybe try getting a buddy to let them know you're safe or that can be with you if there's a problem.

You can put ring doorbell bell outside on your main private door - that’s what they are meant for

Oh god I feel your pain. This happened to me before except fortunately it was someone I’d already seen and he was harmless but still so weird and intrusive that he just thought he could come to my flat in the middle of the night and ring the buzzer and see if I would answer. No phone call. Nothing. Just so  creepy. Can’t imagine if it was some random guy. I would definitely report it too police though if that’s an option.

Unfortunately guys who have visited before the ones who are not about discretion can make it known that there is a sex worker at blah blah.

I had a friend who had a ground floor flat with a side entrance front door and there was this perv that used to go round the back and try and glimpse through back room window where the action happened through gaps so watching services and he used to open the letterbox and try to spy in. It went on for a few months he was chased away twice and she ended up leaving the flat to go somewhere more secure.

I would like RB1 said try to get more CCTV and if he comes back try to get a camera picture of him and threaten to call the police or actually call the police someone else's CCTV might have caught him before he was actually at your door.

Very worrying. I would try to discreetly take a picture next time. In the mean time log the time and day that it happened and if he turns up again, call the police. Also, check that your door is secure and that the camera facing the door is hidden and is working.

I've had something like this before, it is very worrying. Please stay safe. x

If you tell your neighbours you opened your door to see a man sticking his hand through the letterbox trying to open the main door from the inside, I'm sure they won't object to you beefing up the security a bit (I know I wouldn't) :).

Yeah could not see them doing anything unless he actually commits a crime or you get evidence of harassment/ stalking you.
