There are plenty of people here who don't do OWO and don't find it affects their earnings..

.. but sexual health nurses have always tended towards the 'don't' end of the acceptable risk spectrum. What that 'don't' is can vary a lot according to who they're talking to: they tend not to say it in regard to OWO to bisexual and gay men, for example.
'The Ian formerly known as SW5'. What they said: "Indispensable", "You are our best resource", and (hours later!) "I'm afraid that you're being made redundant..."

Last time I went they refused to do an oral swab, saying they only do it in gay people and that I may get a false positive! I more or less begged them to do it .... shock horror I had oral Gonorrhoea. I no longer offer OWO.

The nurse was not happy about me providing owo but realistically I have to or I wouldn’t earn enough.

I'm not sure I agree with that - by that logic most of us would do bareback. You can sell OW as a big positive to safety-conscious/paranoid blokes.

Maybe it depends on your area. I’ve looked at other escorts adds and around 9/10 do owo here.

The same may well be true for my area - I have no idea. That doesn't mean that a) they're all mad busy or b) that there aren't punters who want/ask them for covered oral and yet more who don't really care one way or the other :)

access to good sexual health clinics is one of the things i miss most about the UK. Most of my french civvie friends the same age are clueless about stds and never get tested, i feel like in the uk being tested regularly is like going to the dentist (even for non SPs).

my local gp is one of the few that offers on the spot anonymous std testing (otherwise you need a prescription for a test from your GP!); bloody nightmare, wierd opening hours, the waiting room is the same as the nomal one, and the toilet next door, so ou have to walk by everyone with your cup of wee. they make you fll in a questionnaire of why you're getting tested and no where is there an answer "i'm a reponsible adult and i have both respect for my body and the bodies of people i shag and i understand the health risks of casual sex"
i'd love to be able to tell the nurse i'm a WG but i don't think she would be at all helpful, especially as france is an abolitionist state

in regards to hepititus i think i got vccinated for it about ten years ago, is it a lifetime vaccine or should i get a booster?

I have immunity tested each time, and have been given boosters.

Does anyone else rotate their gum clinic lol? I go to about 5 different ones because I like to get tested once a month and I find they don't like you going in that often. I got told I only need one a year which is bollocks. Then again they do think I only have one partner lol none of the governments business who I have sex with and I don't fully trust the confidentiality either.I bet the receptionists know who the hookers are and word would get round if one of them happens to know someone you know

The people working at CLASH are so lovely and understanding, can definitely recommend! Their Thursday afternoon clinic at Archway Sexual Health centre is never busy, so good for people who live in North London and don’t want to wait ages.
