So now I'm worrying about monkey pox. I know that the risk is small, but more and more cases are being reported, with close contact being reported as a means of transmission.
Have you ladies changed any practices as a result?

I think that if someone gets monkey pox (knowing how scary it looks with these big papules), he will have something else in mind than go to see an escort and even in the worst case scenario (as we all know that some clients sometimes dare coming even if they have health issues), I think you would notice it straight away :)

It can take up to three weeks for symptoms to appear so they may not know they have it straight away. Seems higher cases for gay and bi men so might check their profile more carefully and maybe avoid bi men for now.

The mind boggles .. Read a bit about it after viewing this thread .
Let's hope the clients haven't contact with African bushmeat or infected animals first ???

The UK Health Security Agency has said the infection can be transmitted through “close contact or contact with clothing or linens used by a person who has monkeypox”.
However, it added that the virus does not usually spread easily between people and the risk to the UK population “remains low”.
Symptoms of monkeypox include fever, headache, muscle aches, backache, swollen lymph nodes, chills and exhaustion.
A rash can develop, often beginning on the face, then spreading to other parts of the body including the genitalia. The rash then changes and goes through different stages – and can resemble chickenpox – before finally forming a scab, which later falls off.
It may be time to suspend services until this gets under control. Every day this job gets scarier and more risks are popping up for us to combat.
