money didn't come through
« on: 27 February 2017, 12:11:12 pm »
This weekend I met a guy but he had no money so said he would send it to me online.  Stupidly I listened to him but the money didn't come through.

I know where he lives but can I realistically get my money?

Any tips from those in a similar situation would be useful.

Can I go to the police?

Well technically this is theft of services and could be reported to the police. However unless you have proof e.g. texts of him saying he would send you the money, unfortunately it's your word against his. He can just say "I paid her in cash and now she's trying to extort more money from me".

I think you might have to chalk this one up to a very expensive lesson :(

Unfortunately clients who want to pay after are a scam, I usually say before the orgasm not after. Then ask if they want to leave. Usually some clients ask about paying after but pay before once I let them know the score.

I doubt the police would help escorts for this but may be wrong.

Sorry Laura, I'd write this off as a very expensive lesson if you want my advice :(

Always get the cash up front, and make sure it is real. Don't just accept an envelope either - check inside the envelope, some women have been stung by ripped up pieces of paper inside.

People (not just men) can be complete bastards, I'm sorry that you did trust someone and they've abused that trust. Please do post a warning though.

This is about the worst rookie mistake you can make in the game, for anybody new who comes on here hopefully they can read this and not let themselves be fooled by it.

Your priority should always be remembering four key words, GET.THE.MONEY.FIRST.

Hey lovely, did you know under English law contracts for sex are unenforceable? It sounds like a joke I know, but it isn't. That's why you have, have, have to get the money ahead of time.

You have no chance of getting your money at all, for this reason. I'm so so sorry. Please never allow yourself to be put in this position again.

I'm sorry for you and that man is an arsehole of the highest order.

Hey Laura

Sorry this has happened he's clearly experienced with doing this to girls . Money is always up front babe even with regulars I take the money upfront . I have been working for over 6 years and I think I have heard all there stupid excuses to try and get a freebie . I have had it where I had a client take the money back off the side run out and said sorry as he ran out I was going to call the police I was so angry he took the money off the side but my fault for leaving it out on the side that actually happened twice in the same week to me my fault as I was so tired I left the money in sight in the side with one of the guys I got the money back because I googled his number and it came up attached to a business so I rang him and asked if he wanted to return my money or have the police come collect it from his business he brought it back to me and was saying how sorry he was blah blah .

If you know where he lives he clearly ain't bothered other wised he would of payed you . I would hate to tell you to go knock on his door incase it put you in a situation . I would have to agree with the other ladies you might have to forget this one had he stole it off you then I would say call the police but I would say right this one off and really any crap they come out with its money up front and bye bye . I now always put the money in a Saafe or bury it deep in my suit case .

Chin up babes xx

It is highly unlikely you will ever see this money.

Always get money upfront, if it's a transfer make sure it's visible at your end.

Yeh I have done that before where the customer did a transfer after he had spent a few hundred he ran out so before time was up to extend he did transfer and I checked it was safe in my account . If they transfer up front I'm ok with that but not pay later we don't do credit lol . Ha ha if he was married or lived with any one he would of payed you you know his address . So he prob don't care . I was talking with a client only a few months ago and we was both saying how guys are more open to talking bout booking a escort he was saying years ago no one would talk bout it now every one does so don't think many guys are embarssed and think we won't call the police on them . You could tell the police I don't think you would get your money back but will teach him a lesson not to pull that stunt again .

I had a guy contantly message me last week bout how he's  a part time agent usually helps newbies but will help me when he said that rang alarm bells in my head he said he can get me 5 clients at least but he will need a 15 mins service for free upfront . He said he never pays as he gets girls work I feel sorry for the girls who fall for these scams no wonder he only goes after newbies .

Xx

Does this work both ways? Once we have the money there are no guarantees and if we are unhappy for any reason we can request they leave with no refunds and no contractual consequences?

Think you might have opened a can of worms here,  Tickle.  ;D

Personally,  I have never thrown anyone out who has made it to the bed but I have thrown people out before money has changed hands.

If someone violated me or attempted to do something I don't advertise or didn't consent to, I would ask him to leave and there would be no refund.  That saying, my life is more important than a hour's fee so if it was hand back the cash or get attacked, I'd give it to him. I've got kids to think about who depend on me.

What I have done is a client has booked me for an hour and then on arrival has decided to just do half an hour. Sometimes I agree but there have been a couple of times when I have been very been pissed off for other reasons and I've refused and told them it's an hour or they can walk ( I was firm but polite).

They've always stayed.

On the legalities about your question, I have no idea. I doubt any client would go to court over it but they could kick up a stink with the hotel etc.

Eek! I am still improving. I flap and fuss over the business bit but I do insist on money first before beginning. I can identify lots of ways I can do better. Improving how I might manage no-quibble refunds and giving clients space to consider fills in a few blanks positively. Thank you for those thoughts.  :) :)

Under the law, yes. Obviously if a sex worker were to unfairly take advantage of this clause it would render them a massive arsehole... but in terms of the law yes they can absolutely do this. Really.
