Ex outed me - is there an actual criminal offence?
« on: 25 June 2020, 08:59:32 pm »
Pretty much as it says in the title. We have children so he’s being a total dick about it. He already knew I had sex for money before we broke up, he moved back in with the kids during lockdown and when I asked him to leave again he kicked off and sent my aw profile to all my family and god knows who else, called social services and says I can’t look after them if I’m doing sex work, I’m not escorting at the moment and haven’t for months with no intention to any time soon anyway, aw profile up for private gallery subs.

Parents have been supportive but he’s such a dick. Can I actually report him for it? Also wondering about changing my name/profile x

Yes you can - it's the Protection from Harrassment Act 1997 off the top of my head. Nobody may pursue a course of conduct that constitutes harrassment or that they know or should know will constitute harrassment, which is anything intended to cause alarm or distress (this could include what in other situations could be completely benign behaviour like sending flowers) so I can't imagine how it wouldn't be the case here :).

Yes, I think you have to say he's making you feel harassed, alarmed and distressed and you have a case. Still, the damage is done but at least you're family are ok about it. How awful.

Well update on this - reported him and they said it needs to be private pictures, not screenshots of online to count. I reported it alongside him calling social services to threaten me and taking my children in the middle of the night, withholding contact and access to my home so clearly harassment.

Fuck the police

Citizens advice? There is definitely a law to protect from harassment. 🤔

Well I’ve applied for a hearing in family court, I just want to make sure my kids are OK so I’ll do it myself, just fucking hate the police!! Won’t do anything to protect women but make sure they’re prosecuted at the earliest convenience
