Wow, this forum is such a fabulous resource. Greetings Everyone, you all seem so supportive and caring- I almost wish I lived in the UK and not US. Thanks so much to Penny for creating/maintaining this resource.

My question:

Does anyone know if there is any substantial market demand for post-op transsexuals? Is there a niche market? I am a pretty attractive, educated, mid-20s post-op girl.  I'm told that I'm pretty enough to escort and not mention that I'm trans- IE work as a normal girl.

But I worry about that subterfuge and possible backlash if a client figured it out. For that reason I lean towards being 'out' as trans. But then I wonder if my ability to attract clients will be hurt because maybe there is not much demand for post-ops.  I know there are other niche markets like bbw and whatnot. What do you think?

Any advice, tips, suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks!

There is a post-op niche, but it is significantly smaller than the pre-op one.

Whichever option you pick, you should know - if you don't already - that the transphobia on the generic 'punting' review sites and message boards can be absolutely rabid.

If you're out, the review sites won't accept reviews, nor the boards ads, but if you go 'undercover', you risk clients speculating about you there on the basis of your voice, hands, neck, eyes etc etc.

Particularly if you're in / near London, it's worth getting in touch with the SW5 sex work project (020 7370 0406). They are in the middle of some major changes but at least some of the work with trans workers should survive even though I'm not sure what services will be on offer.
