Hey,
Is there a way to boost a Vivastreet ad to the top without paying?
The wording on the site seemed to suggest there was but I can't find how to do it.
I've tried modifying the ad, but that seems to keep it in the same place on the list.

I doubt it, otherwise they wouldn't charge for reposting I'd assume?

Could have sworn it was worded in a way that suggested you could do it yourself.
But I'm wrong anyway, I called them and they confirmed that paying is the only way to boost ad.

Hi,
I know I'm a bit late on the reply for this one, but I understand where the confusion might come from.
For reposting an ad to the top, they have 2 (paid-for) options:
• "normal" auto-repost. Pushges the ad to the top twice a day
• "multi" repost. This is what they call the "manual" way in some parts of their site. On top of the 2 daily "pushes", you can MANUALLY push your ad to the top, as frequently as every 15 minutes
So yes, it is paid-for, but tbh, being at the top of results every 15 minutes is well worth it. Even better than "VIP" which gets swamped under the masses of other VIP ads and don't get your ad any better visibility than most

Ah, thanks for this. I was wondering where the manual option they referred to was. But do you think Featured is a better option than Manual? Featured are always on top, then the rest underneath in whatever order.
I've always only paid for the basic option before but am going to a very busy area soon and am wondering about the best way to stay seen.

Sometimes it’s cheaper to keep buying a basic ad as I’m sure they show at top when new.

Featured is not "always" on top. It will always be listed BEFORE non-featured, that's all they guarantee.
Highlight will "only" put a frame and green background to put some emphasis on your ad. So yes, it would make it more prominent... well that is if not all or most ads were taking that option. Because it's one of the cheapest options, many take it, but because many take it, you're not prominent or different anymore :)
In my experience, featured+manual repost every 15min yields a LOT more results then even "VIP" which is only worth it when you are immeadiatly visible (so in the top 3 VIPs, rest being hidden by their scrolling carousel)
