thanks joey for openly ridiculing me!

No, gosh no. I wasnt ridiculing you. I was simply stating that the guy's request was ridiculous! Dont feel bad, sometimes I get outrageous requests too and fall for it, I dont want you to do the same thing  :-*

It does sound like the classic "I'm going to be a big, regular spender" line - which guys often give before a first appointment to try impress you. Ok, sometimes it is completely true but I'm afraid it can also used to either persuade you see them at an inconvenient time (either fully booked or not working that day), or (as admitted by guys on another forum) to impress you thinking they will get a better service (i.e. you will work harder at pleasing them). This line may also be used to negotiate a discount. For my regulars proof is in the pudding, as they say.

I treat every appointment the same - whether it be a one or regular appointment giving my best for each.

If he really is genuine I wouldn't quote a rate for such a long time until we had had at least one booking together. That way you can guage how 'involved' the date will be and the 'physicalities' involved.

So, perhaps you could tell him you will let him know after his first appointment - after all most professionals wouldn't be expected to give a quote before seeing what the 'job' entails.

Hi wowzers,
Just wondering if you had that date with this guy? Did it go ok?

ok ok here is the update....i had a date set, and basically there was a few emails and then he said he'd like to meet me for a couple hours at my place and confirmed my rates, then he changed his mind and said he'd like me to meet him at his train arriving from brussels and gave me the train number etc and a pic of himself, and then he changed his mind and said he'd meet me at mine, then he changed his mind and said meet his train....so then, i (after some good advice from alex  :-*) i wrote him saying i would rather not meet his train for a first meeting and i would meet him at mine....so then he wrote saying, apologies he's caught a cold and would meet me some other time....so then....i wrote him saying i didnt believe a word of any of it, and that not to bother contacting me again unless he was gonna book me for 4 hours or more seeing as he's so rich....
he didnt reply

and now i'm all  :-[  :-[  :-[  :-[  :'(  :'(
